IF (and until Pitt were to get Siulepa and both he and Lau actually get here, suit up and play for Pitt it remains a BIG “IF”), the Pitt pep band will have to learn to play ”Waltzing Matilda” right after they play “The Star-Spangled Banner” . 😉

Siulepa at least looks and plays physical who is also a teenager, so.... where are we?
Add him to the other two recent signees (Canadian Center...redshirt? and the other
skinny Big from Down Under) and it reminds me of Delasic's film last yr. This board was
ecstatic after seeing him against international competition. How did that work out? I've
posted it before...Capel needs talent and experience from the portal. So far.....??

Well, in your defense, the Young brothers and Bon Scott were born in Scotland. They moved to Australia when they were little kids.

We've heard the hype before about a player being the next greatest. Uh huh. First, I'll believe it when I see any of them play in a Pitt uniform in a real game. Then I'll only believe the hype when I see them deliver results, which means we win 25+ games and make the NCAAT comfortably, not as a play-in qualifier. That's all Capel has been able to do in 8 years with this program. Do it or STFU.

Real time in real games is what truly matters. Delalic's film and the hype that accompanied it
says it all in my opinion. Those films we saw were highlights, not a total picture. I realize there's
many on here that feel he'll produce in time. I saw a 22 yr old, somewhat slow and not overly quick player
with stand alone shot ability. He'll probaly do better at DePaul, just like others we've had who
transferred down. Right now, I'm not impressed with what I see coming here. Siulepa, if he comes,
is being overly hyped IMO. His highghlight film of course looks great. It's against questionnable
international talent (sound familar?). He's also young (teenager) and a true frosh. I'm usually
positive, and willing to give Capel a chance. However as of now he seems to be relying on
international players and mediocre transfers from the portal. If he has rabbits hiding in his hat,
he better magically produce them soon, or we're in trouble. Just my two cents.
