They only lost to Louisville by 10 at Louis last Saturday.

Miami outright should win. They have played much better lately and Pitt much worse. Already being without Lowe and Dunn, leaves little room for foul trouble before the GDG, JDG, Amsal, Corhen, Cummings lineup is on the floor. Is that really better than a preseason top 5 ACC Miami team?

According to that graphic, Miami is 8-16 against the spread yesterday. So there are fans on the Miami Lair right now saying the exact same things about Miami as people here are saying about Pitt.

"12.5? That's not nearly enough with this team!"

Having said that, at work yesterday one of the guys was talking to me about the game. He said he thought the spread was going to be 8-1/2 or 9, and I said that if Lowe really isn't going to play I'd expect it to be a few points less than that. With our current injuries, 12.5 does seem like it's too big.

The NCAAT is out of reach, but these guys have to play every game as a 1 game season and hope maybe they get NIT. They shouldn't turn it down this time. They don't belong in the NCAAT.

Totally agree that was a big number. Pitt moneyline made sense since I was 98% Pitt would win but that it would be closer than 10 points.

The moneyline was such a big payday that you had to throw a little money at it. I thought Miami had a legit chance to win. The spread was also so big for a team that has been playing possibly the worst basketball in the ACC and without Lowe that it was a no-brainer.

Worst in the ACC? I don't know about that. I'm not defending the recent play or making excuses, but human nature is a real thing. After losing a heart-breaker to UNC & losing Dunn for the season, that SMU game had disaster written all over it. I thought we would see a better effort today.

Miami played very much better game at Louisville last week and were close in the 2nd half

this game with the way Pitt was playing had no business being -12.5 but as it played out of course was close

Pitt imo played better than expected while Miami really does suck, especially defensively.......our out of character ball movement must've shocked their players and coaches, there was no film of that at Pitt for uhhhhh, 9 years
