Miami is awful, Completely Terrible

-Well, some of you thought I was crazy. That's a 3 game losing streak by Miami, as they got killed by Virginia Tech.

-Now Miami plays Notre Dame next. What a winning situation. Miami either loses 4 in a row, or the Irish start 2-6. Both teams should be desperate to kill each other as both are in dire need of a win.

To your credit you posted this early in the season, great foresight analysis, I salute you. But I am still worried, when Pitt plays them and will wait and see how Pitt handles VT??? If Pitt can beat VT & Miami, it can have a 9 Win season, if make the ACC Champ game, 10-3 or 9-4, then Bowl Game 10-4!
 
Pitt hasn't played a top defense. VT isn't one either. Pitt OL is a significant advantage. Every once in a while, Pitt surprises on D. I see Pitt just being to physical for the hokies. Miami has no real OT's and the D is missing to many players. Pitt has advantages in the trenches and hopefully the secondary playing better, Pitt will go on a winning streak or at the very least, beat all they should.
 
Richt is an upgrade, but their lines both need work and get exposed against decent teams. Can never rule them out because of the skill positions though.
 
Steel..... I posted on this form before the following:

Every year, there are three or four great teams..... and then there are 30 to 40 average teams. Both pitt in Miami are in that average category .

What does that mean? It means that Miami doesn't stink like you say they do. Rather, they're an average team that could beat or get beat by pitt.

Is Pitt getting better? I think so. DT is much better. WR/Slot guys are gaining experience. Peterman is not making negative plays. Mitchell had his best game in a year last week. Healthy perhaps. Does Narduzzi blow the red shirts of Hamlin and Coleman? To win the coastal absolutely.

I think the criticism of Richt was inability to get UGA over the hump in the SEC East consistently and then beat whoever was coming out of the west. His regular season record is better than most.
 
I didn't watch the whole game last night but a good part the OL was just awful last they couldn't stop from sacking the qb. Body language wise it looked like they were getting ready to pack it in Mark Richt is a terrific coach but FSU loss just took the sails out of them. I don't think Pitt will walk all over them but they will not be able to keep Jarrett out of the backfield.

Back to the topic. VT didn't the Miami QB and inch. No passing game = trouble for the running game=Miami loses.
We better figure out how to pressure Kaiya or he'll take advantage of our secondary.

They aren't great, but the problem is neither are we.

The crap that steel posted was asinine. If Pitt would have scored 45 they probably win. The idea Miami couldn't score 20 on us was laughable.
 
I'm still waiting for Pitt to rush for 600 yards a game per Steel's brilliant preseason insight.

You are right Miami stinks, so does today make us the the equivalent of Kansas.

Pitt is on the edge here. The defense and the performance of the team is terrible. Narduzzi has made his scheme he defense he wants to play. Really, that is the takeaway for the sliding performance against Miami. Pitt lacks talent on defense. They also look horrendous on game day. Good coaching can help a defense with help and taking away the obvious shortcomings. Defending a pass is not complicated. Being a joke defensively is not something that reflects well on a defensive guru in his 22nd game.

Give me a break. I didn't want to take the bet because I rot for Pitt, and didn't think they would do that poorly...or at least hoped they wouldn't. What true Pitt fan would bet against them to get blown out by 20?

My point was, and still is that steel is ridiculous. I don't know why you defend him.
 
Steel Curtain has a twin brother on BWI ,21 Gums I mean 21Guns.Everything he says turns out to be wrong.So I guess every board has their own Steel Curtain!

This original post was dumb on so many levels. Anyone beyond the age of 7 realized any team that can throw the ball was going to light up our defense.
 
-Miami Sucks, and my opinion does not nor will not change period. They played a joke of a schedule. Congrats to them for beating Pitt into the ground, I guess they had to beat someone, like shitty Notre Dame. Pitt isnt very good on defense. We are poor on defense, that about covers it. 8 wins now is going to be a challenge as we have to sweep Duke and Syracuse and win the bowl. If we fail, so be it.

-At least the Penguins are rolling, and Im content with that.
