Well, once again a tough game match up that can go either way. Miami earlier was a Top 15 Ranked Team but now lost 4 in a row, and hungry to stop the bleeding. Meaning, Pitt gets little credit if they win, and much scorn if they lose?

The Canes have the coaching, talent and speed to stop Pitt Attack but can the Pitt Defense at least keep the Canes of Pain under 20 points? They have far more talent as far as 4 & 5 Stars, and it is away.

It is a good match up on preparing for the Clemson Game in every way. It can be difference of going more likely 8-4 and 7-5? Under Harris and Chryst, Pitt Special Teams often let the entire Pitt Team down, but Pitt might able to counter and neutralize that this year? "The Canes have the coaching, talent and speed to stop Pitt Attack" Perhaps so--however, no one has done it yet! PSU did a better job of stopping tOSU than they did of Pitt.

The Miami average scoring of 32.5 per game is artificially inflated by their early results vs weak opposition. They have struggled to get to 20 vs legit opponents (27 against a slumping bad ND was their only 20+ scoring game since feeding on a weak OOC schedule).

I think Pitt gets at least 35 again--possibly more and Miami will need to get more than that to win (which is certainly possible vs Pitt's bad pass defense but not guaranteed). IMHO, if Miami wins it will be closer than 6.5.

I hate to be Debbie Downer, but this game doesn't shape up well for us. On the road, against a team that is desperate for a win. The Canes have played poorly, but they have plenty of talent particularly at the skill positions. Pitt's defense would have a hard time handling Slippery Rock with the way they are playing currently. The offense should put up big numbers, but my fear is that we're eventually going to have a bad outing from that offense....it happens. All of this adds up to an unpleasant outcome:

Good Points and Post! It will be hard to take another 7, 3, 1 point loss, I hope the Defense comes together for Miami and Clemson! However, Cuse won' t be an easy win either.

OKSU was Ranked & picked to win Big-12 by some, Pitt comes up short by 7? WVU badly beaten by OKSU!

UNC was on key chance to beat another ranked Team, Pitt missed by 1??

VT hits Top 25, and Pitt comes up short again???

Miami, Duke, and Cuse still important to win, but the true Measurement Top 5 Test is Clemson at Clemson in 2 weeks? Playing good against Miami is a must to be ready for Clemson, as I am concern?

Going 9-3 and winning a Bowl at 10-3 would be just fine with me! But So Little Done And So Much To Do To Win In Top 25!

Thanks Captain.. Sometimes I can be a little optimistic... I think it will be a good game.. I just don't see Miami's D being near VT's D... The question just cones down to how many points our D holds Miami to... Which is really not a tough analysis.. Just hoping the final comes out in our favor...

Pitt heads south. The Canes of Pain took a Poison Arrow from Florida State and have had a tough time to recover by losing 4 straight. Is Pitt's Defense fixed or Canes Offense revives, can Canes Defense stop Pitt Mighty Offense? Coaching and Special Teams negate each other in this one!

Pitt QB, OLs, RBs, WRs & TEs plus O'Neil is one of the Top NCAA Offenses able to run anytime and anywhere while the Pitt Defensive Line, Linebackers & Safeties stop the Run.

Yet, Pitt DBs keep trying to beat up, beat on, and have too many flickers of non-executed misses? Pitt DBs make every Opposing QBs & WRs they play set Team Records every game as well?

So, what will happen....more of the same in every game or does the Panther's finally have a Bi-Partisan Offensive & Defensive Game just before Election Day?

It was mentioned in a different thread that Miami's top 2 WR's are 6'1".. although they are burners, they may not have an advantage with Jump balls...
After looking at Miami stats...
Their 2 TE's have a combined 40 catches, and RBs' add in another 26... So at least 66 of his Kaaya's147 completions are not to WR's...
We may have a bigger concern with our LB's/S's than our CB's in this game...
There is a potential that our base D, is a better match for Miami's offense than it was for Okie State, UNC, VT.....
Looking forward to see how the D does in this game...
I know this is cliche, but this game could easily hinge on Turnovers..... GT gave Miami 2 scores with 2 turnovers, and that was the differnce in that game... If we control the ball and win Turnover ratio.. I'm hoping this as a Pitt win...
