Yes, we will probably lose the next two games. They both have really good QB's. If you expected anything different, then you haven't been paying attention this year.
Sad? No. It's a dose of reality. We don't have the players on defense to keep up. Did you not see this deficiency coming based on the last few recruiting classes? Is it surprising that the strength of our team is on offense?
None of this is shocking. Players win games. Narduzzi can't coach any of us to All-American status...
Part of the problem is the coaching staff and Narduzzi not putting the talent in the right places in the defensive backfield. That's on them. Where is Whitehead? He's been invisible for a while, other than the pick 6.
But reality is that all an opponent has to do against Pitt is throw the ball 50 times to the sidelines for 10 - 15 yards a pop and they will complete a ton of passes and win. Syracuse will do that. And surely Miami and Clemson will do that. All have good QB's who will burn us. To win any game this year, Pitt MUST, IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, score 40 or more points. And that's only to have a chance to win. No guarantee of winning if the opponent has a high quality QB who could lay 50+ on us.

You mean two teams that have been recruiting top 15 talent for years might beat a team that's Rivals.com recruiting class ranking has averaged 49.75 from 2012-2015? You don't say...

All I know, is we will be ready to play those games. Coaches will have them in position to make it close, and the players have to make an upset happen.

Kaya is having an off year and Miami's pretty banged up. Actually think VT is markedly better than The U this season. I like Pitt to win this one.
