Yet another example of a coach not understanding how to manage the clock at the end of the game. Todd Blackledge keeps saying "I really think they did not know that the clock was going to start there." If true, that begs the question, why in the heck not? How can they not understand that after a replay review that give you a first down but not a touchdown that the clock is going to start when the ref signals the ball ready for play? And in the end it quite possibly cost them the game.

Quite a shame. Michigan continues to be overrated when they should've lost to a lousy Minnesota team. Also a shame considering Jerry Kill had to retire, would have been nice to see them pull the upset to honor him.

That's what happens when your good head coach is gone and some guy who isn't qualified to carry his clipboard takes his place. Totally botched that last 20 seconds. QB has plenty of culpability there too.

And for gods sake, what are they doing in the shotgun when they need half a yard???????? HORRIBLE.

Yeah, maybe, but this stuff shouldn't be that hard. Every coach, and I mean literally every single coach, should have known that the clock was going to start there and that they didn't have time to waste. If the head coach didn't know it, which would be kind of pathetic, why didn't anyone else point out to him what was going on? The clock rules in football really are not that hard to understand, and yet pretty much every week someone is screwing them up. Most weeks, more than one someone.

Minny played some very inspired FB. I knew it would be tough, and tonight made the 2nd game in two weeks that a QB was completing passes despite the WR being blanketed. When you are that tight in coverage, there isn't much you can do save give credit where it is due.

We have 2 whole losses by a total of 11 pts. Both to top 15 squads. One took a miracle. Continue to act like some of those same PSU fans that insist they are a blue blood.

They tried to penalize us to oblivion tonight. One of the refs tried to flag our guy for a PF, despite the fact he was trying to avoid contact, and the QB moving right in the way initiated contact. They had nothing to say though when the Minny defender knocked our QB out of the game with a helmet to helmet hit.

Our defense is damn good this year, and when we get a QB that can throw, Michigan is really going to come alive.

Over rated? Nah, lacking a starting QB. The rest of the team is pretty solid. Peppers is probably the best all around player in CFB. He runs sweeps, plays the Wild Wolverine position(announcers call it that heh), returns punts and klck offs, plays safety and corner, and wide receiver as well. Tonight he covered the lurch sized TEs from Minny.

When you have a talent like that to go with all the highly recruited players that were never coached up by Hoke, you are going to have a pretty good squad.

Harbaugh has transformed Michigan into playing at or a tad above what Brady Hoke could nor come close to doing. Once Harbaugh gets all his Player on Board that be recruits and develops, Michigan will become a Monster Team as the Program!

Michigan, Pitt, Notre Dame, and Army develop Modern Day Football!

Agree, they miss Jerry Kill already. A Total Complete Gentleman and superb Head coach and truly inspiring Person! The Players Played their Hearts out in Honor of Jerry Kill having to retire just to stay alive. The Interim Coach let them all down!

Hey Cap, thanks for the upvotes on BWI. The natives around there don't like being reminded that they are not one of the blue bloods.

Down right hostile if I might add heh

Good luck next week. I hope you guys hit at least 9 wins :)

This post is Exhibit 1 as to why I have always found Michigan fans to be intolerable.

News flash-you can blame the refs all day, but Michigan lost this game tonight. There was your "makeup miracle" for MSU.

Can't wait for OSU to curb stomp UM in a couple weeks.

Safe to say he won't be the next head coach. That was a failed audition.

I imagine his asshole was puckering in his pants being in that position. It would of been a huge win.

After seeing Russell Belomy give the Nebraska game away when Denard was hurt in 2012, I figured for sure we were toast. Turns out Speight is a gamer, or at least tonight he was. Nice passing. He didn't look anything like this in the spring game. He credited Harbaugh for working with all the QBs like they are the starter. Nice plug.

With the win, and the brown nosing in the interview, he will be one of Jims faves going forward heh

Yeah I followed that thread, you outlasted the Dumb to Dumber to Dumbest!

When Penn state joined the Big Ten they went every where telling everyone how great they are and great they will be, and lied about Pitt as usual. They think College Football started in 1967? We had mighty battles and tried to tell all the Big Ten Boards on Big Ten Schools, that they are the Nittany Liars including Paterno!

But within a few years, the Big Ten Schools not only tamed the Lions into Pussy Cats, Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, and even Northwestern and Minnesota have them some multiple losses in some years. Now MSU, Nebraska has been added lately when they play.

I enjoy many Penn State Fans and respect the program and even Joe as a Coach. But he still left the Program and University in ruin on his watch. And he coached, hired, and kept Sandusky on and did not complain afterwards seeing him on campus and given Emeritus Professor Status. he wanted 409 all along but one needs 409 Cleaner to wash away the shame too, but the stains still remain!

Joe was not following all the Rules, Regulations, and Laws either as proven and verified by many sources.

They have a divided Fan Based as the Penn State Scandal continues to exist and Paterno Lawsuits too, will take years to overcome. You went up against the Penn State CULTists that demand the Culture back that they believed when it was based on Myths, Magic, and Machinations!

All the needs happen is the Big Ten continue to beat them up and prevent them from winning the conferences as usual and that just kills them where they live in their dark hearts of hate towards anyone that is reasonable knowing Penn state never had a moral superiority just self-inflicted victimized inferiority!

Have a good night cupcake.

Knowing now how corrupt those are behind the scenes, I have limited my blame on Joe to the 10% range. He should of followed up. MM gets 25% as I feel he didn't call the cops so as not to endanger his job chances.

The rest I blame on PSU, SM, and the state of Pa. We will never know all the politics, especially after the shrink in 98 said he was grooming, but I think many deals were made, and blame avoided, to keep the gravy train alive.

When it comes to Paterno, I need more evidence to say it was anything more than Joe not wanting to deal with it, which makes him morally wrong. The halo is gone no matter how you look at it, but as stated, I think there are bigger fish to fry when it comes to blame.

Not saying he doesn't deserve more blame, but I just haven't seen enough proof save the one email Freeh referenced. The 3 really need to go to trial so that one of them turns. As normal though, I think politics lets this stay so long that it is eventually swept under the rug.

AW, TheBaby2 always post his opinions and provides insightful posts, I truly enjoy reading them, and he has a different view that I truly respect and enjoy because it is different.

We have bet that Harbaugh win 10 games this year on my end and he says no, but it will be close.

Some might not like Michigan but most all respect them! You encountered some Penn State CULTists that don't respect anyone or any Football Program and now many of their fellow Penn State Alumni, Trustees, and even Coaches. The Best BWI Posters left long ago, they were fair, intelligent, and one could discuss many subjects with them.!

Knowing Joe, I think he just did not know how to handle it in 2002, but they got used to covering much under Paterno dating back to the 1960s.

Recent Emails that have come out show the Prosecutor have said they don't think the Penn State Three will ever go to Trial and it is in Grand Jury Notes. This was teh same Prosecutors that took years to investigate it and exempted The Second Mile from all investigations because they are friends and contributors of AG Corbett and he is known for selective prosecution and why he lost his Re-election bid. Paterno was part of the Email but no one was going to put him on trial at 80+ Age anyway!

It is a mess and I follow it closely and it now involves many Judges and Porn Mail and using State Computers on State Time, but some resigned, others were prosecuted before it on campaigns, but now Judges say it just Work Rules Violations?

It exposed Penn State Football Culture and now those trying to change it are attack like you were for doing and telling the right things! There is a group of New Trustees, PS4RS and Alumni that cannot accept they were running a "State Penn Nittany Liars" Regime!

The dude is nothing to me. Root for TUOS? That is the type of school that is everything wrong about CFB.

As far as your bet, we have 4 games plus a bowl left minimum. Our next 3 games are Rutgers, Indiana & PSU. We get those 3, and I like our chances of TUOS at home, or the bowl, to get that last win.

Me too, but MSU robbed me of some buffering. I know Coaches, I spend much time with top bookies in Pittsburgh, Youngstown, and talk to some in Vegas, Chicago and Philly!

Harbaugh Father coached at Pitt as Assistant and raised two of the best coaches I have ever seen in my lifetime. this is why I respect Michigan so much along with Yost and Carr!

Michigan does have a really good defense and is a good team. Top 15 though? That's a little much IMO. In no way did I mean they should just drop from the rankings all together, I just don't think you can have two losses right now and be ranked that high.

Fair comment, Michigan had two plays that have hurt and helped them in MSU and Minny Games. They lost to Utah by 4 to 5 Plays as well. They could be undefeated!

Just like Pitt could be undefeated if not for 4 or 5 plays, but games have been decided and Harbaugh and Narduzzi have coached up Teams they inherited, an that is not in dispute, but they still have 4 games left to show they can win 9 to 10 games but they need to show they can do it too?

The Final Rankings will prove your comment correct or in error and that is the same with all of us. Both are surprised Teams right now for 2015 Season, but still need to finish 9 wins or better?

Absolutely. If they finish 9-10 wins, yes they're as good as that #15 ranking. It just seems to me like they're getting a pass for the Michigan State game. They still lost, they still screwed up. I think they're a good team and even brighter days are ahead, but in the end it's about if you won or lost, not if you played well and the game was close. I'm not even as big on Harbaugh as most people, but he's a good fit for Michigan and should be able to win there.

No one expected they would be this good this fast under Harbaugh.....but I suspected and predicted and said it, I will stand by it! I may be wrong and they go 9-4, but I am right that Harbaugh has coach this Team and Players up, and I expect he will do it and prove it, but even at 9-4 many never thought this about him, but I did? No Brag just a Fact! He goes 8-5 and I am just dead wrong! So be that too!

Narduzzi is still having to prove he can win at least 3 of 4 next games, Franklin 2 of 3, and Holgrosen 4 of 5, too? We shall see?
