I know we have way bigger problems, but what gives? The first three home games we had just Pitt at midfield and now were back to the Steeler circle with Pitt in the center. It's not like the Steelers had a game the next day or even Sunday.Their next game is on the road after a bye this week.Do you think it's just too much trouble to fool with? If that were the case why did they do it to start with?

Little things like annoy the crap out of me. There is absolutely no reason why they couldn't have removed the paint after the Steeler game Sunday, painted a big Pitt logo on green grass on Monday or Tuesday, then painted the Steeler logo over it today, 9 days before the next Steeler game. I dont understand it.

I do think the Steeler truck in the open endzone is a fabulous addition to the Pitt gameday armosphere.

That may very well be true, but why did they paint a Pitt logo at midfield for the first three home games? That really makes no sense to me...

The Steelers first game wasnt until Sep 11 so my guess is there was no logo for the exhibitions so there was then no white circle for Pitt to paint in.

They did Pitt a favor. That's how they view it and frankly, that is the reality. It's like pulling teeth to get something as easy as painting a barely proper logo at midfield.

Anyone check out the Navy-USF game tonight in Tampa? Bulls had their own mid-field logo, not one squeezed into/over the Bucs logo. Plus they had the end zones painted with BULLS in each one. I know it is easier to repaint/redo grass in Florida compared to Pittsburgh, but this is a natural grass field also and the Bucs have a home game in 2 days on Sunday! I always thought Pitt had one of the better stadium arrangements with a pro team, but not compared to field conditions in Tampa.

Get field turf....zip in and zip out logos....

We are never getting field turf. The Rooneys don't want it and they run the show. But we are happy to tell ourselves that the natural grass is better, since it makes us feel better.

The Rooney's don't want it because their players almost universally don't want it. And that's because their players think that natural grass is better.

The day that most Stiller players want a turf field is the day that turf will be installed at Heinz. But not one day sooner.

It can be done intermittently with grass. As mentioned, when the Steelers are away for a bit, etc. It's a joke that it's not done.

Some teams, including our neighbors to the East don't have a midfield logo.

I just can't get myself worked up over something so trivial when there are 30,000 empty seats for a big-time game. The people in the seats mean more for the gameday atmosphere than painted grass.

There are not 70,000 people who would go to a weeknight Pitt game, getting home at midnight, even if tickets were free.

Stadium. Too. Big.

Make. 40K. Look. Better.

They didn't need 70,000, but 50,000 would be nice. Then again, there was a Pens game and Bon Jovi and Bill Clinton were in Oakland.

Like I said, the Rooneys want the grass, so that's what is there.

The Pitt/Penn State game was a big deal, whether you want to admit it or not.

If Pitt ever settles for 40,000 capacity whether at Heinz with tarps or the pipedream New Pitt Stadium then just get out of the football business
