Mike Golic and Mike Golic Jr calling our game

It's better than having Ron Cook as honorary ahole Alum announcer

Who do you want ? They are on a National Show. Its a chance to get our team big exposure.

Huh? You think Golic and Golic Jr. will continually announce to all their listeners that they've doing the Pinstripe Bowl?

I've never heard him call a game but Ruoco isn't Bad. Of course he may be bad doing the game. But there might not be much air left between the other 2 windbags.

Golic called Pitt's game against Oregon State in the 2002 Insight Bowl. He was terrible then and I imagine it will not be much different 14 years later.

I could care less as I will be in attendance but thought it was unique to pair father and son which means you probably get more talk about themselves than the actual game

I don't know much about jr I liked sr as an announcer when he was paired with Ron Franklin

does anyone rem2mber about 6 years ago the afl did a contract with espn. espn would televise one game a week Mike and mIke did them and after 3 espn canceled them. I watched the first one and they were excited and awful. lolol

Honorary alumn Ron cook. "Ron you cover this Pitt team a lot what do you think?"
"They just can't get over the hump, this is a big game for them and they usually lose these. They're certainly no joe paterno led Penn State team."

Yeah hopefully nobody even realizes he's there.

Going to the game. Don't have to worry about it.
That show on ESPNU with him(insufferable Notre Dame shill), Elika Sadeghi(infsufferable tOSU shill) and some random dude that's formerly a musician is pretty terrible. Wants to be edgy but has no edge whatsoever.

Terrible!
why? what the hell is the difference? we spend most of the year listening to the yahoos on the Bojangles network (James "The Terminator" Conner ??? ) but whine about two ex football players bs'ing for three hours during a meaningless fun bowl game over the holiday....man, we are a whining lot...

I mean, I'd love to go. I can't though. Too many coworkers already scheduled off. I have to work. BUT, I'll be working from home that day to be sure to catch it.
