Can someone explain this to me as it pertains to a buyout? Does he not have one?

It's also pretty amazing that a single donor is giving that many MLP shares.

So if I'm reading this correctly, Miller forfeits roughly $1.5 mil worth of the MLP shares if he leaves before June 1, 2016.

So if I'm reading this correctly, Miller forfeits roughly $1.5 mil worth of the MLP shares if he leaves before June 1, 2016.

Those shares are Kinder Morgan. Price has been cut in half and the dividend has been slashed so it's not kicking out the cash any longer. MLP has been converted to common shares for tax benefits of selling.
