i really can't stand blaming the refs, which is most of the content of the game thread. it's like my two boys: they've never actually lost any games in their lives. they've only not won games b/c the refs screwed them.
better team won today. how do i know?
* they had the best player
* they played better defense
* they shot better
* they rebounded better
blame all that outside noise if you want. we lost this game.
* GDG can't be shooting 3's like he's steph curry. he needs coached better. he can't be given a green light whenever he wants.
* WAY too many 2nd chance points. there were a number of just unlucky bounces off the backboard/rim that just came to wisconsin. but they did better offensive rebounding by a mile.
* we aren't a great 3 point shooting team. yet they are playing as if blake is going to pull up and make 3's all game. not happening, fellas. adust and find other ways to score.
* cam was in foul trouble but he disappeared in the 2nd half.
key stat: 5/23 from 3. again, blame the refs if you want. you aren't winning any basketball game shooting 21% from 3. not happening. 8/23 gets you to 34%, which is a pretty reasonable rate. we get that, it's +9 points and we win. there's your ball game.
