Miss.State Hoops and SMU Football Games

Anybody note the similarities. Just start gettin some national respect with the talking heads and polls. Then each game came along. Outhustled, outmuscled and on that night anyway better athletes with more speed. Basically didn’t show up. However I don’t think this was the start of a total meltdown like we experienced in football. This hoops team will be better in the ACC when Dunn returns and others live up to their expectations like Delaslic.

I agree. Regarding Delalic, I know that contributions have been minimal so far, but he just looks like a good player. Very athletic and smooth on the court— quite the contrast to GDG as a freshman. Heck, GDG still has many awkward, goofy moments as a junior starter. He looks like one of those guys who will average 4 ppg this year, but will be a 15-18 ppg guy down the road once he gets more experience.

Well that doesn't suggest he will be much of a contributor for us then.

Not this year. Will play some. Make a shot here and there. The problem with these guys is that their shooting falters when they arent comfortable in other areas of their game. Delalic struggles on D and handling the ball so he's in his own head and that affects shooting.
