Monday 7/27/20 Pitt Basketball Poll!

Okay guys c'mon, this is a good one right? Lol.

Here's my thoughts, by a semi close margin the other day, the majority picked Walker over Sam Young a fan favorite. Me personally I think it was the right decision.

This choice though is tougher for me. And I am going to go with Blair. Yes Kemba was all world his junior year but we haven't had a dominant inside presence at Pitt for quite some time. And yes Hugley will hopefully help but he is an incoming freshman and you can't expect him to have that big of an impact early.

Imagine having Dejuan this coming season? That would change our team considerably and make it world's better. Maybe most disagree but I would take Blair this season over Kemba and his junior campaign.

Man, lots of Kemba Walker related polls. Objectively a super player, but that name will always give me nightmares.

Blair is the easy answer. You can make due with our guards and Blair would be monster inside as well as a fantastic mentor for Hugley. The 2011 team that Walker won with wasn’t terribly talented outside of Jeremy Lamb, so maybe a player of his caliber could put this Pitt roster on his back and go on a run but Blair is the answer

How could any true Panther fan not choose Blair . Without a doubt he was the most enjoyable Pitt player player to watch since Billy Knight (IMO) . He’d make the team a contender plus mentoring the new bigs would pay dividends for yrs .
