I really like HCPN's press conferences. He actually answers most of the questions and he takes a few light-hearted pokes at the reporters, which is fun.
4 Big takeaways from my perspective:
-He said he expects L. Pitts back as the starter and reaffirmed that he's a Senior leader and that he thinks he had a bad day but is having a good year [-I take that as Pitts is working hard and is the best CB Pitt has right now]
-He said the timeout confusion was due to a headphone equipment issue and that he planned to call timeout but that he wanted to tell Chaney first and the equipment problem prevented that [-I doubt that will quiet the "Chaney is gone soon" crowd but I think it explained what actually happened and the frustration level for both of them]
-He brought up that perhaps the short week combined with Pitt's depth (vs. UNC's depth), was a real issue with Pitt's energy and intensity [-UNC is uniformly talented and deep while Pitt has a few very talented guys and a lot of guys in the 2-deep that shouldn't be there,or at least not yet IMO]
-His comments about admiring Beamer's loyalty and his choice to stay when he had other opportunities were perhaps the best words for Pitt fans excited about HCPN's future with the program
