VAERS citations incoming. Why even bother with these idiots? We should be encouraging them to avoid vaccines and to take more ivermectin and horse tranquilizers.
Hey, I clicked on Pittbball80's post because I thought it was going to link a Covid vaccine death. I have him on ignore so I can't read his posts but did read this one. He asked about the flu in another post and I asked him to start a new topic. I forgot I can't see topics he starts though. So I'll answer it here:
The flu was greatly reduced during peak covid for several reasons:
1. Social distancing/quarantining.
2. Masks
3. Cancelations or reductions of large-scale events
4. Attention to hand washing, not shaking hands, etc.
As far away viruses go, the flu isn't very contagious. It turns out that when everyone is wearing Masks, kids aren't going to school (or are social distanced and masked), youth sports are canceled, attending major events are canceled, and we essentially live entirely differently for 2 years, the flu doesn't spread.
Pittbball80 is the poster boy for Covid Denialism. He truly doesn't believe it was real. He believes that nobody died from Covid and all it was was literally the flu and that hospitals killed these flu patients when they sought treatment.
If we went back to 2020/2021 living next flu season, there would ALSO be no flu.

lol. So all those things totally eliminate the flu but didn’t to squat for Covid. You do realize the flu virus is much smaller than the Covid virus and every study done prior to 2020 showed masks are ineffective in preventing the spread of the flu. Good Lord

Yes. The US changed the way it lived for 2 years and those measures completely eradicated the flu but only had a small effect on Covid as it's a much more contagious virus.
Can you just re-state your theory? Covid was ACTUALLY the normal flu. Right?
RFK's CDC agrees with me on these differences. I didn't see on there where it said that Covid never existed and it was just the flu.

You do understand that masks , expecially the face diapers most were wearing were NEVER proven ro be effective for rhe flu. You also realize the flu particle size is about half the size of rhe covid virus.
Can you cite the study that showed that the world shutting down for 2 years and everyone being masked up isn't effective against the flu? Dude, you can't replicate a lab study with what we actually did. Kids weren't going to school. 0 people at sporting events. The world was 180 degrees different and it turns out that that is extremely effective vs the flu. RFK's CDC flat out says it's not as contagious. His CDC also says that flu symptoms appear quicker so while Covid folks are walking around infecting everyone for days, flu people are already sick in bed. Just take the L on this and move along so I can put you back on ignore.

You linked a study testing masks vs the highly contagious Covid virus. How about a study for not only masks but the world shutting down for 2 years for the less contagious flu? Again, you can't replicate what we did. The world shut down and because of that, nobody got the flu. What's the mystery here? What's your theory?

Now as far as the other measures. Maybe people in blue cities and states were hibernating under rheie beds but i red states we were back to normal by mid summer. And by the time flu season came around there were few restrictions. And yet the flu disappeared. So all that other nonsense had zero affect. Fauci admitted that six foot rule was made up and the nonsense of wearing a mask into a restaurant and then eating with it off for an hour had zero impact.

It's all well and good to bicker about numbers and such. I don't see the point. It's not a mental exercise to me. Vaccines have risk. Drug companies cheat. They also make mistakes. So, get vaxxed if you wish. Just don't pressure others to take the jab.
You are making a leap there. Perhaps there was a kid who died directly due to the vaccine but there isn't 1 documented case of that actually happening and if it did happen, it would be huge worldwide news.
It's the game they always play with adverse reactions. You can never prove cause. You can only show correlation.
I don't need proof. They never proved safety with a double blind placebo controlled trial. Maybe be it just causes allergies, maybe not. Theres no moral justification to require anyone to risk their health for your benefit.
