#1. Move Bookser to RG -
#2. Briggs/Hamlin short chain (Ford/Campbell given chances to play and make mistakes aka Learn)
#3. Put KP in situations that allow him to make throws (roll out/play action)
#4. Give KP more responsibility and let him fail or make plays but don't "hide him"
#5. Shocky returns punts and kicks (with french)
#6. Narduzzi AND staff look prepared and organized.

7-5 with bowl win

Good post. I'd simply add "use all of the field in the passing game.......its not illegal to run quick slants......drag routes, and middle to deep crossing routes over the middle"..........Run more play action on first down......In other words. be a bit more multiple and diverse on offense......

I also agree that Hamlin has been less than impressive.....Lets hope its because he hasnt played much and is shaking off the rust.............But for sure, Ford has to find a spot on the field. Also keep Dane Jackson on the field all the time. Hes by far our best coverage corner.

Play Brightwell over Zeise and use AJ Davis more.

And not calling for fair catches on kick offs outside of end zones

Well, if they're going to return them, there better not be anymore blocking in the back penalties then. The 25 is still better than inside the 10 where Pitt was starting from repeatedly due to making so many mistakes. It was a total cluster on Saturday night.

Many of these sound obvious. Of course coaches (and their supporters, the types that will invariably give sarcastic or dismissive replies) hate seeing and hearing these kinds of suggestions ... but bad results, and no real attempts to explain or justify the continued status quo, are going to result in this manner of unsolicited feedback.

It's very tough to coach. And one thing that is tough is that "solutions" are not always as easy as fans think. One can guess, if a coach were tied down and forced to address suggestions like these, would first sneer but if forcedto answer, would say "we picked our guys already and now we only have time to put in our game plan." Working new guys in, particularly in significant numbers of different positions, esp while prepping the team for a bizarre offense in 5 days, is too daunting.

There's a measure of truth to that. Especially college football which i presume still has limits for daily and weekly practice (which I also presume schools like Alabama just laugh at, but a school that would suspend Jordan Whitehead for its two hardest games of the season would faithfully adhere to).

But what the coaches won't consider or acknowledge is that with some of these guys it wouldn't matter if they have the playbook memorized in 5 languages or they could practice the next 120 hours in a row, they simply aren'tgood enough players and it's worth the risk to go with someone else. That's probably typical of coaches: wariness of the unknown trumping reality, accepting average but predictable over the risky but potentially better ... I guess.

The fc stuff still pisses me off. Those conditions were ideal for breaking long returns and we were gutless. The entire night we looked intimidated and soft.
