North Alabama took down Air Force 73-57 last night, and Wester Illinois defeated San Jose State 59-55.

Everyone else survived an upset, though New Mexico only beat Nicholls State by a touchdown.

Some big games on the docket for Wednesday:

And then Friday/Saturday is when they start venturing out to playing some power conference/better competition and the tournament really begins to shape itself, here in very early November. Really keeping an eye on New Mexico at UCLA, Memphis at UNLV, and Washington at Nevada.

I love this idea because we all know how important Mountain West games are in deciding whether the ACC can get more more than 33% of their league into the NCAAT, which is all they've gotten the last 3 years. Gotta move this to the bball board though.

Damnit, multiple tabs got me.

Preseason MWC #1 Boise State wins a home game vs Clemson. Preseason #2 New Mexico loses at St. John's. Big missed opportunity for Clemson and the ACC. I know people will point to this game but Boise is going to go 26-5 and then lose in Round 1. They'd win some home games in the ACC. But they'd go about 11-9.
