My ‘play of the game’ is not the one you think it is

It’s not Veilleux’s TD shot to Bub Means, nor is it Devonshire’s pick six. For my money, the play of the night belonged to Samuel Okunlola:

Had he not caused a turnover, the game becomes 17-7 if not 21-7. Going down two possessions might’ve changed the entire course of the game. Very impressive play by the redshirt freshman from New England!

Good choice for play of the game....It changed the momentum in Pitt's favor....

Another HUGE play was the 4th & 1 conversion at midfield early in the second half when Pitt was down 21-17. That kept a scoring drive alive by the absolute narrowest of margins. (I didn't think the spot was very favorable)

Failing to convert there on 3rd & 1, then again on 4th & 1 would've been so on brand for 2023. But the moment that chain was stretched, it just felt like the football gods were on our side. (for at least one night)

Yeah tough to see at game but thought the spot was short of where it should have been. Glad it ended up as a 1st

This was one of multiple sacks that I was surprised Plummer took. It was like they were happening in slow motion: They took a while to develop *and* he saw the guy coming.

He made some good throws, but he was Mason Rudolph in the pocket.

Sam reminds me of two SEC studs - Bama’s Turner and LSU’s Perkins. Speed and motor. Now, about my whipping boy #6…………
