With Iowa playing for the CFP, they would get 3:30 vs Nebraska, I'd think.

The American Athletic West Championship, Navy @ Houston would get ABC noon.

Pitt-Miami at noon on ESPN2.

How many homes get ESPN2??? Will it be HD?? Does Swofford know how to get ESPNU?? Or is he one of those casual fans who don't know how to channel surf??

Are the WPIAL games the day after this?? If memory serves me correct, and it often fails me, didn't the WPIAL used to play the games on Friday after Turkey Day??

I don't know, but I wish Root Sports would stop televising Penguins games on WPIAL championship day. That forces them to carry the late game on delay while they show us a meaningless hockey game. There are 81 other opportunities to show hockey. Give the High Schoolers their special day.

Unfortunately, Its not about giving high schoolers their special day. Its all about ratings and probably some sort of contractual agreement with the Pens

OH, hate that and it's been happening more and more.. Watch the single and double a game, then a pens game, then the last 2 games is on at midnight... There is been another local channel broadcasting high school games locally, PCN maybe. Wish someone else would pick up the games and let Root broadcast soccer on ice, aka 2015 NHL..

The Penguins draw better local ratings than any NBA/NHL team in the country. Their ratings approach what Canadien markets draw (where the NHL is the NFL). It would be undeniably stupid for Root Sports to put on a HS football game instead of the Pens. Sidney Crosby taking a dump would draw more viewers than WH/PR.

What Root should do is demand that the A game be played last so thats the one that gets shown on tape delay. Should be:

What is really dumb is how they only fit 2 WPIAL games in before the 1 hour Pens pregame show and show the AA and AAA games in the middle of the night. Root's lineup should be:

10AM: AA
1PM: AAA
4PM: AAAA
7PM: Pens Pregame
7:30: Pens meaningless regular season game
10PM: Pens postgame
10:30: Clairton vs some team who will lose to Clairton (game played at 7PM)
