how about when the Ped State fans try to start the "we are" next year at Heinz Field, we respond with "Guilty"!! I'll settle for any response the Panther Pitt decides - and there are many options.
Why not bring back the original, uncensored Pitt song? It was changed for "politically correct" reasons - namely, Pitt fans would shout "Penn State Sucks" until that part of the song was altered.
That was never part of the "original" song to be altered in the first place, but people were free to shout whatever they were motivated to.
Actually the whole thing was (as the band revved it up for this part)

That's not the original song! LOL. It's a big game I understand, but I hate it when we change our fight song for those losers! They laugh at Pitt fans for doing that. They say we hate PSU more than we love Pitt, and that just isn't even close to being true, at least for me. They are relevant to me because we are playing them over the next four years and because we recruit alot of the same players. It's a rivalry no doubt, but it's not the only game on the schedule.

They altered the original musical arrangement...eliminated an entire section. What Pitt fans choose to shout in that section should be decided by Pitt fans, and not by university censors.
Instead, without that "bridge", that option was eliminated.
Sure, it's the university's song, but do you know the process that caused the song to be changed?
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told that the change was the decision of one person who took it upon himself to make the change.
Officially altering an official university song is no small matter. Shouldn't such a decision be something that's required to be brought forth before a committee? (If an authorized committee did make the decision, then I'll stand corrected.)
I'll be pretty disappointed if anyone doesn't use those old lyrics.

Play the song as it was originally written: if the fans want to shout, "Fight Pitt Fight!, then they will. They don't need the PC Police defining what constitutes classy behavior - especially at a college football game.

I go back and watch some old videos of this quite often. Just recently got to hear it after the Jerome Lane dunk. I would love for this to come back!
