Don't post much, i am a lurker. I don't understand why people are so angry or worried about this. It comes up every year sometimes because he is flirting with teams and other times because he is not. I don't know what he will do, but honestly this situations is like "mehh" to me.
I think Jamie is great. He won big games. He has gotten to the tournament. He has had no luck in the tournament. None. Is that coaching? Is that players not executing? Is it players make dumb plays? It is unfortunately all. Jamie has been a good coach. People that dislike him really need to relax. Honestly there is not much better out there. He has had two/three bad years in his time at Pitt. I am happy to watch Pitt in the tourney most years. He just never got a good draw or got hot. See reason's above. That's how i feel.
Also who here has not played a situation out to make more money. Loyalty is gone now a days. Unfortunately get your money while you can. If Jamie played other jobs against Pitt to get more money good for him, he's smart. If he is doing it again ( I don't think he is this time) good for him.
12 years is a long time. i get antsy at jobs and relationship (haha) about every 8 years and change. I am doing it now. Let him go, wish him luck on this board. He did great things at Pitt and represented the University well. The one story i think that most demonstrates what type of person he is, is when he rescued a person from a burning car. Now back to lurking.
