Kham Davis really came from nowhere when he got to Pitt. He showed he can be a 3-and-D type player as a freshman, and was actually better than I really expected initially. He has really long arms and he's a good athlete, and his best trait is probably his work ethic. When he's on the floor, it was usually him diving on the floor and calling out things on defense etc. Coaches eat that kind of stuff up, so I thought Davis may have stuck around because he can do things like and be that high-energy guy for Pitt.

The problem with that, he just had a very limited offensive game. Davis is an OK 3-point shooter, but wouldn't look for his shots when he was open this year, which had to be frustrating for the coaches since the offense was so spotty this year, they needed more from him.

He can play at a lower level and compete and be a bigger factor for some team, and teams will want him. But at the same time, he was in over his head here from a skill standpoint. This was the best move for all parties at the end of the day.

It'll be interesting how things play out for Pitt and recruiting, as the coaches are looking into every avenue they can to add talent. So now Pitt has three spots to use, and they could use more help inside, more help shooting, and probably another ball handler. So there are a lot of different directions with how this goes from this point forward.
