Duzz said we should work on getting 30K to attend, I would hope for 15K...
We got 15k to Annapolis. We can do better than that on a Saturday in April at Heinz.
That's old thinking. This is the new. We should hope for 40K.
What are you people smoking? If they get 5K and announce 10K that would be an amazing effort.
If your goal is to draw of 30-40K fans to the Pitt spring game then your goal might as will be to draw 250,000 people to the game because neither number is remotely realistic.

I have no dog in this fight, because I can't/won't go either way, but the game should be held at Highmark again, if possible.
To me, reading about an overflow crowd is good Pr, and from last year's account, most enjoyed the atmosphere.
I'm not as pessimistic as dvy, but I don't think we'll ever see Pitt draw more than 12k to these things. And that's fine.
This move also suggests that those hoping to see tarps, aren't going to get their wish anytime soon.

The Bucs are home that nite with a fireworks nite scheduled. Might be a thought to work something out as an all day event between the Panthers and the Bucs. Maybe the AD could approach the Pirates and the local restaurants to make it an all sports day on the North Shore.
