Whoa. I don't post here often but where the he11 did that come from? We just accomplished something not seen at Pitt since 13-9. Coach Duz has a D2 quality defensive backfield and had a bunch of injuries to deal with and still pulled it off. I agree with Jokepa. Future looks bright.

I'm certainly not thinking he's not the answer our beef is his unwillingness to change even one bit his scheme when we don't have the players in the secondary to play that scheme. It was a great win but we won despite the defense not because of it. We could easily be 6-4, 7-3 or even 8-2 if we'd been willing to admit we can't play that scheme in the secondary. Never should have lost the UNC game and probably should have beat Ok St had we not isolated our corners. VT too but we just let them throw jump ball after jump ball
Turnover on downs is because of the defense. The game hung in the balance right there.
I said that but had they punted or thrown on 4th down we lose they didn't we made a huge stop and won so great win for us

The D was far from solid when the opposing QB sets the all-time conference yardage record against it . But we made Watson pay for his mistakes when he made them, which was huge. And the run D was stout.
He wouldn't know "how it is" if "how it is" walked up to him and smacked him right between the eyes with a two by four.
