Yesterday he was talking about Kabala leaving as he wanted to pursue other opportunities. Then he mentioned how he was excited with this new graham wilbert coming in and he was going to take recruiting in a new direction.

What do you think he meant when he mentioned the "new direction" with Wilbert compared to Kabala?

Even more focus on Florida and other Southeastern states maybe? Didn't he work with Partridge in Florida?

Yeah, i thought about that but that seemed to obvious. I figured there was more to that comment.

I think he was talking about structural/organizational changes to Pitt's recruiting operation. Probably a "fresh eyes" kind of thing.

I'm kind of happy with the new recruiting emphasis on the south...some of these PA players...idk.

they were already recruiting florida(like a lot of schools) prior to wilbert coming on board. i believe his comment had to do with something else. more along the lines of structure and their overall process.

A bag with a dollar sign on the side maybe? I jest

No idea what Narduzzi was referring to with that comment but it seems to be working. They already have added more recruits to this class with Wilbert on staff than they did with Kabala.

Can't fully understand why some fans are so "sensitive" that they act annoyed or offended when any Western, PA kid who is well regarded goes anywhere other than Pitt to play football.

Even in the glory days of Majors-1/Sherrill a fair number of such kids went of to other schools--especially ND and PSU. Even back then, we had to supplement by recruiting Florida and New Jersey. We will never get all the locals we want even if we become the Alabama of the North. Some kids will just want a different kind of college football experience.

Today, with the smaller population base in Western PA, and a resultant fewer numbers of quality local players we need to hit Florida plus the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic States harder than we did in the past to have a high level of talent on the roster. I am glad Narduzzi is pushing this because it is what needs to be done.

I take it only one way on how Coach Pat Pitt Football Program is still rebuilding with trying to establish stability in Coaching, Staffing, and ACC-Big10 Regional Recruiting, and bringing in the people he feels he needs to do it.

There are more Top Recruits in Florida and border Georgia even after Florida, FSU, UGA, Miami, and GT fill their Recruiting Ranks. Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Michigan still produce Recruiting Gems but in fewer number than Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia and New Jersey and submit the following realities to back it up.

The recruiting new realities as Pitt's Coach Pat & Staff find recruits that he develops into Players like he did at MSU even against more Resourceful Programs with bigger Recruiting Summer Invite Camps, Staff and Budgets.

I also take it as a sign Coach Pat plans to stay a long time at Pitt, just my view other can differ that know far more.

Rival Final Top Recruits By State 2017:
100 Florida ACC-SEC
100 Georgia SEC-ACC
60 Ohio B10
45 North Carolina ACC
45 Virginia ACC
35 New Jersey B10
30 Maryland B10
30 Michigan B10
30 Pennsylvania B10-ACC
20 South Carolina ACC-SEC
10 Connecticut
10 New York ACC
10 Washington DC
10 West Virginia B12
5 Delaware
5 Massachusetts

Agreed. However I think what people get tired of, is the way some of the kids act during their recruiting process.

I had no problem with the way guys like; Dave Adams, CJ Thorpe, Josh Lugg, Kurt Kinish, handled their recruiting. Same goes for Malik Hooker, Khaleke Hudson, Sterling Jenkins and a few other top
area players...But most of us had big time problems with the way Davon Henry, Shai McKenzie, Lamont Wade, Monte Nicholson, Donovan Jeter and Robert Foster handled their recruiting.

The former group made their announcements without fanfare. No problem.

The latter group made a spectical of the whole process; Tweeting, whoring for attention, bad mouthing other schools, complained they weren't getting enough love, calling local press conferences to announce another school other than Pitt. Charging admission to their own press conference... so it's not all the kids who go elsewhere, it's the ones that act like entitled jackasses...

Im happy he didnt say losing Dann wasnt a devastating loss to his program. . Change brings oppourtunity in any organization.
