One thing you have to love about Narduzzi is his press conferences and interviews are entertaining.

At his Monday presser, Jerry DiPaola asked how Pitt can get to Clemson's level in the big picture. He said "little by little" and joked unless they went into DiPaola's bank account and started buying players.

Of course, Narduzzi was joking but his joke implied other teams buy players and while we all know they do, you never hear coaches say that. When I heard that I thought, he wasnt referring to Clemson was he.....given their recruiting domination under Dabo? Clemson went from a good recruiting team to Alabama/OSU level real quick.

Then, in his on-field post-game interview, he ended it with saying "We had a lot of guts tonight." Again, probably doesn't mean anything but Dabo's famous quote is "BYOG Bring Your Own Guts" after a big win a few years ago. You can literally buy BYOG shirts down here and I saw probably at least 100 fans wearing them. Its his trademark quote and a quasi-slogan for Clemson football. So, I wonder if Narduzzi's "guts" comments was intentional and if he has something against Dabo like he does Franklin with his non-direct jabs.

In any event, even if it was intentional, I love a coach with that kind of passion, who is unafraid to ruffle a few feathers.

Eh ... Coming off the field Nards genuinely hugged Dabo.

He isn't the kind of guy who is like that, to act genuine with someone in person then off hand diss him.

He was icy with James from State College coming off the field, because he doesn't respect him.

Nards absolutely does inject some off the radar stuff in things he says, but Dabo is a good guy and I suspect he respects him.

I heard the "buy players" comment early in the week and was surprised it didn't get more attention even though it was clearly a throw away comment.

Coach Duzz had high praise for Dabo leading up to the game. I think you're reading too much into Coach Duzz's comments.
I agree. Dabo was nothing but respectful before and after the game. Remember he was one of the first coaches to reach out to James when he announced his health and was very sincere.

Clemson has always had the rep of buying recruits a ton of rumors when Sammy Watkins commited. Clemson has a deep pockets from it's alumni based so nothing would surprise me. I know the gamecocks have been trying to prove it for years.

Dabo and Dooz are both good eggs and Dooz has nothing but love for him. If you saw the post game exchange between those 2 it was an extraordinary and genuine display of mutual good will and admiration.

Ditto above. Dabo is a class act. Was impressed by his halftime comments (Pitt kicking Clemson's butt's) and post game ("Hey, its college football - anything can happen") remarks withought a tinge of bitterness but always respectful. Seems like a genuinely good guy.
