For old Pitt fans like me our exhibition season used to be USC, Oklahoma and Notre Dame. In the three years prior to the 1976 championship season that's who we played. Each of those teams won the national championship in the year that we played them.
I for one can't wait until conferences go to a 9 games conference schedule. Eliminating all but maybe one cupcake would make the college game much better.
