Narduzzi demands an explanation! How about no teams ranked in the final AP poll since the Stache prowled the sidelines; inexplicable losses - like BC last season - and recruiting classes none ranked in the top 20. You can stop the I love Penn State bull, because I hate Penn State. But if Narduzzi really doesn't get why his program going into season six isn't ranked in a preseason poll...you have to question his judgement all around.

Preseason rankings don't matter all that much we Pitt fans are saying. We aren't ranked. If we were, then the ranking would be a boast and generate enthusiasm.

Look at Cincinnati, a past and future Pitt opponent. Luke Fickell has that program moving in the right direction. The Bearkats have something we don't: A preseason Top 25 ranking. Is Luke a better coach than Pat? Don't we have more resources, more money than Cincinnati?

The Coastal Division isn't much a step up (or maybe down) from the AAC.

We play WVU and Cincinnati in future seasons. We need to dominate.Can Narduzzi dominate?

Narduzzi also needs to change his ways and absolutely blow out Austin Peay. No plain vanilla offense and a 17-14 dull game. Pitt owes nothing to Peay so beat them 65-10 and the points in the polls will begin to flow.

The AAC is very thin past the top two teams. And UCF will be sliding in the next few years.

Pitt suffered 4 come-from-ahead defeats out of 5 losses. Pitt damn near blew as many victories with dumb ass play and critical mistakes. That was an agonizing 8-5 season to watch. Could have been 12-1 or 2-10. And Narduzzi wonders Why No Respect? If you're gonna strut like a gamecock, you better back it up in the ring.
