Awesome, love it. I am glad we started pushing back in the second half. Narduzzis complaining definitely helped, no flags were thrown and we got some stops

I like the fact that Narduzzi was "giving it" to the officials. That's part of coaching strategy to get the officials thinking (and possibly giving your team a break).

I don't like the post-game complaints. It looks like sour grapes. If the officials actually called every interference penalty they could have called on both teams the game would have set all time records for penalties in a game. Yes, VaTech WR's pushed off, but Pitt corners held on virtually every pass play all game long.

Cruzer

PN on the field antics with the officials fired up the Pitt faithful in attendance better than any cheerleading squad. It has been a long time since Pitt fans young and old united to express their vocal support for the team as they did Thursday night. Not only did the players leave it all on the field the fans did too.

This just in.. Our HC is the first to do so..

If he went overboard he would have drawn a flag or two of his own. His antics likely prevented a flag or two from being thrown.

I think he went way overboard, to each their own I guess.

On Sirius radio this morning some of the words to describe Narduzzi were, "Would you want your kid to play for someone who acted like that? He was over the top, out-of-control, needs medication, needs stronger meds, Sammy Spasm, an embarrassment."

Not good.

Seriously.. Vandy coverup...

What was it that was covered up? Point it out, please. You make accusations like this then back it up or don't do it. Most of the people on here are tolerable to enjoyable.

I enjoy hanging out with my Pitt friends and family but I wouldn't want you touching or contaminating anything within a near breathing radius of me or anything close. You are sick.

Answer my question. You won't, you will make something else up.

If the acc had any gonads, that crew would be setting out a game this or next week. The same crew should also be split up. Bad is bad but that crew was about a bad as it gets and their previous games should be looked at to see the difference, if any, from ours.

The comment wasn't necessary. Those VT receivers are good. They don't need an opposing head coach calling them out like that. Plain and simple, they were better than Pitt cover guys. Now if you want to make a comment about consistency in the calls, that's fine. You didn't hear Fuente complain about his WR's jersey's and shoulders being grabbed but then again maybe he would have if they have lost. I doubt it though, he complemented Cuse when they loss to them. No sour grapes.

Instead of PN complaining about the refs, he needs to put more attention on his own defense. We came into the VT game 112th in the country in pass defense....and we did nothing to help our ranking by allowing 3 WR's over 100 yards each.

When other defenses stop our jet sweeps, Canada gets creative and finds other ways to score. Not so for our defense. It's one way and only one way, it doesn't matte if it's working or not.

The way he acted on the sidelines(mini Brian Kelly) he will never get a call when he needs it. PN, our defense completely sucks, take responsibility.

Agreed. They should have called pass interference on us about 15 times and several unsportsmanlike penalties on our HC.

I was watching in a bar without sound, and actually didn't see the Narduzzi antics. However, I was shocked at how terrible the officiating was and mentioned it several times to my friends (who didn't really care because they aren't Pitt fans). I'm a little surprised that anyone is upset at Narduzzi or supporting the officiating because it was legitimately terrible and one-sided.

One sided for us, right?

Love Narduzzi, but he better get his act together on the sidelines. I get maybe the early antics, however as the game went on he was an embarrassment.

Again I love Narduzzi...he also needs to get his act together in press conferences. Give credit where credit is due. Bad showing by his post-game antics.

How in the heck do you say that Narduzzi has been a better coach on the field Franklin. The jury is still out on both of them. All of us Pitt fans keep repeating the same rhetoric that he is a terrible game day coach, but he has kids playing hard, competing, and has been winning lately. Heck, they almost beat us. I'd argue that lately Narduzzi has been a terrible game day coach with his defense because he refuses to make any in game adjustments with our secondary.

They probably could've called pass interference on us on almost every pass play. We grabbed all game long.

Psu fan boy forgets that Franklin was instructed to stay away from victim (b/t/w Franklin hired the young woman to use her sexuality to draw in recruits) during the school and law enforcement investigations. Franklin ignored the order and snuck into her hospital room ( mind you she was still emotionally traumatized) for the purpose of convincing the victim not to attack his program. Similar to JO pa 1976 proclamation to a young boy victim of Sandusky--"I have a football team to coach-- Get the hell out of here!"

So you have PITT friends... Do also have black, Asian, gay friends ?
Or just have friends...

Va. Tech deserved points on maybe half the drives they scored on. Not giving the Pitt defense a pass, they are a total embarrassment. But the officiating was as bad as I've ever seen in any sporting event, ever. I really don't know if they made one right call all night.

2 or 3 Tech drives extended by phantom calls on 3rd down to extend drive. PI in the endzone that was a clear push off by the receiver. There may have been 1 pass to #7 all night in which he didn't actually push off.

That entire crew should be unemployed for the rest of their lives. Absolutely ridiculous to make two teams play a game with officiating that incompetent. Honestly Narduzzi was pretty lenient in his criticism of those crooks.

Those words came from a disgraced a$$Hole in Rick Neuheisel. I wouldn't sweat it.

Seriously, you need to improve. He wasn't fired at all. He was offered more money and an extension to stay. You can continue on, but your made up crap doesn't make it true. Really weak.

LOL - thanks for your interest in PITT football! Looking forward to the same results next year at Rape U.

Is a quick grab of a jersey a hold in your book?

I was embarrassed for Pitt after Thursday night. I still like Narduzzi, just think he was probably a better DC than head coach. Kinda a meathead with limited control over his emotions.

Va. tech's d-backs held Pitt receivers far, far more than vice versa. I don't know what half of you were even watching. There were at least a handful of Pitt receivers that had jerseys hanging off their shoulder pads and nothing called. For Pitt to have actually held receivers on as many plays as some are saying, they would've actually had to have been that close to receivers. Unfortunately, they were mostly already burnt toast by the time the ball was in the air.

Definitely, he stinks! He'll probably only beat a top 20 team every 6 years or so. And it'll probably take the other team just handing it to us in the 4th quarter too, because he's such a bad coach...

Well hopefully it doesn't take him 6 years to beat a top 20 team but you never know. I think he will be fine, he just needs to tone it down a little. SiriusXM had a field day with his emotional outbursts on Friday.....
