I was listening to Sirius radio today - I think it was channel 86 or whatever the college sports station is.. Packer and Phil savage were interviewing a bunch of MichSt players and coaches..
When they had Connor Cook on, they asked him about his recruitment and how it all went down.. He basically said that Narduzzi came to see a LB at his school and while he was there, he got a chance to talk to and see Cook throw the ball around a bit in a gymnasium.. At the time, Cook's stats were actually pretty bad, and he didn't have any offers, but Narduzzi was impressed with him and stated his case to Dantonio and the rest of the coaches..
Long story short - they offered him, and very few others did afterwards (a couple MAC schools).. And now he's considered one of the best QBs in the country..
Thought it was worth sharing..
