Below is how Harbaugh views Defeats making the Team better. I know some don't believe it, but I feel Coaches, Players, and Teams actually learn to become better after Close Lost by Learning from it. At least Harbaugh thinks so......and I think Narduzzi does too without saying it.

Close Losses makes Players want to play better and proves to me this is how Teams Improve and shows Good Coaching Consistency.....especially if a Teams plays all 4 Quarters and even loses by 7, 3, or 1 point! This is why i am so High on Pat Narduzzi, he has his Players ready to play every game since any coach at Pitt in a long time.

Jim Harbaugh On Michigan’s Close Defeats: ‘Glad We Lost Them’
There’s not a single coach that celebrates a defeat, but drawing positives from losses is a well-known practice.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is no different. Harbaugh appeared on Bay Area-based The TK Show on Thursday and praised his 2016 team for fighting through close losses to end the season while saying he believes the tough defeats could benefit the Wolverines in 2017. Michigan fell 14-13 at Iowa and had its College Football Playoff chances dashed with a 30-27 overtime loss at rival Ohio State in the regular-season finale. The Wolverines then blew a lead in the final two minutes and fell 33-32 to Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

“This past season, as close to being perfect as any team I’ve been on without being perfect,” Harbaugh said. “We lost two games by one point, and a third game in overtime by three points. Good. Glad we lost them, and maybe that’ll make us better.

“We didn’t win a national championship. We came up short, lost three of our last four games. We’ve actually got to get a lot better.”...............Harbaugh is certain, though, that the Wolverines will be well-prepared by the time they open the season against Florida on Sept. 2 at AT&T Stadium.

“It’s been competitive around here,” Harbaugh said. “Our young players are responding and focused on making the team better. That makes me very excited.”

As good as some of the guys Hoke brought in were, they didn't play up to that potential. They got better playing for Jim. I would of liked to of seen how the team would of looked if Jim took over in 2011. Harbaugh has been killing it on the recruiting end. Look forward to the coming seasons.

One could see Hoke is a Good Assistant but not a Great Head Coach, Pitt had Foge Fazio that was that way too. Great DC but not Great Head Coach. Some can lead many others are best as they follow.

Entire Harbaugh Family of Coaches good in the NFL & CFB. Harbaugh Father was Great Assistant to but his Sons are Better and Great Coaches beyond his own Level too.

I was reading an article on CPN and his populartloty with recruits and more
Importantly his connection with their families. He owns this region and is 1-0 again Slimeyball Franklin and ask anyone objective and you will see Narduzzi respected 10X greater than Frnaklin league wise.
