Narduzzi presser after the Louisville loss.

This schmuck Narduzzi is so full of excuses and then fails to prepare his team for the game. Another waste of resources paying this failure (I'm being kind calling him a failure. He could be correctly called a lot worse).

So Nate had zero reps in practice this week? Is it normal for your top backup quarterback to get zero reps, especially given Holstein’s recent injury track record?
I found that to be astounding - who did he expect to play as the backup, if he was not willing to have Nate take any reps during the week? Particularly, as you said, with Eli's injury status.

A few years back, the western Michigan coach said it best and still holds true, Narduzzi is predictable, both SMU and Louisville coaches looked like they knew what Pitt was going to do before pitt did

I still remember the WMU coach’s post game presser.
That was quite a series of statements by an opposing coach.
I believe he was previously a defensive coach for Syracuse and used his experience at Syracuse to out Coach Narduzzi and his staff that day.
Is what was past then , still prologue today?

While doing the color for the Clemson game after Clemson hit a couple of deep pass plays in the middle over the safeties Greg McElroy kept talking about how Narduzzi’s defense is so susceptible to the deep post routes on early down pass plays because on non-obvious passing downs he always plays his safeties up tight in run stop mode. He seemed incredulous that after the D got burned deep on the post a couple of times he stayed in that mode.

No Pitt fan was surprised…10 years of the same stupidity.

like Pitt paying NIL based on performance, how much is Pat really stealing? he's earned quite a bit for the first 7 games, not so much since or all of last year

I don't see Pitt winning this weekend so that leaves the bowl matchup and who knows there but probably shouldn't matter much anyway in comparison to the regular season and a meaningful bowl which if we lose Saturday certainly will not be(may not anyway for some if not CFP)

I’m not absolving PN. He takes some blame.

But let’s stop seeking comfort thinking everything would be better with a different coach. We need more talent too to bottom.

(And yes, he is responsible for that too. I’m taking game day prep and coaching)

Early season was clicking because we had a QB playing at a high level and a few other playmakers on both sides of the ball. Add the injuries…esp at QB…and that formula takes a hit.

Despite all that - this team has had 9 games that it was in position to win. The two road blowouts were baffling, but it otherwise hasn’t been horrible coaching.

You would think. But didn’t see anyone say it.
I only knew that because he said it after the game. My point, though, is why didn't he have someone else ready to be the backup if he knew that Nate was hurt and could not practice?
