Back to the OP s idiotic statement, while Narduzzi certainly isn't beyond criticism, and I'm afraid his ceiling isn't going to satisfy most Pitt fans, he ain't going to be fired in year 2, especially after signing an extension after year 1.

Btw, Mike MacIntyre is in his fourth year at Colorado. He went 4-8, 2-10, and 4-9 in his first three seasons there.

There's no question Barnes is more committted to making a winning football team. I'm just pointing out that I think wanny was a much better coach than people gave him credit for. Only coach since the 80s to win 10 games so he did something right.

Yes, they transfer to DII schools for a reason. You actually never qualified that it was only the secondary that wouldn't see the field at IUP, but I'll go with that. IUP gave 243 yard through the air to Mercyhurst today. They gave up 332 in the air and 5 passing TDs to Seton Hill. They gave up 308 yards passing to Cal...that's Cal PA not Cal Berkeley...I have to specify that because you seem to be confused by the concept that Division II is not the Division that Pitt plays in. IUP ranks 104th in pass defense in Division 2. And they aren't playing against receivers and QBs with the size, skills, speed and athletic ability that Pitt's are.

I get that you are upset because our secondary sucks, and it does, but your hyperbole is over the top and it ruins your argument against the original stupid post. Narduzzi is not on the hot seat and Pitt would not improve if we swapped secondaries (or any set of players) with any PSAC school. Lets not get carried away. Chris Wuestner transferred there and is a star. Our team is mostly Lower P5/MAC level players. Still better than 1AA or D2. Our talent is closer to Akron than Miami.

Overall yes I agree. We have some star players, we have the MAC talent as well. I'm just talking about a handful of guys who just flat out aren't good football players. And we do have some of them.

Coaches coming into a bad situation need 4 years. Next year was supposed to be Franklin's judgement year but he has us a year ahead of schedule. But early on when the team was struggling with injuries, even if the season turned south, he was getting another year no matter what some reporters were saying. every coach deserves 4 years, unfortunately for you guys, year 3 is shaping up to be much worse than this year with the QB situation next year.

Yup. The only guys who actually got time to win were Walt and Wanny and even their eras ended poorly. I'd like to have stability, even if the ceiling is 8 or 9 wins a year with a few 10 win seasons in there somewhere.
