Take a look at Vandy's win loss record before and after Franklin took over at PSU and also the fact that he had a task that probably no coach in college football ever had to deal with as far as maneuvering. O'Brien was great but he had the front end. He also forgot to recruit the O-line. Just wait until Franklin has a talented team to coach. A lot of the stuff seems like wishful thinking. We have the youngest team along with Kentucky in the country as far as seniority. And still haven't had a losing season in 11 years in spite of EVERYTHING.

Then look at who his teams actually beat along the way. Great job with the smoke and mirrors to get paid for taking a job no-one wanted. There's no-one who thinks Temple had more talent than UPS last year. Use whatever metric you want but UPS has had more talent on the field than 80% of the teams they play but haven't won 80% of their games under JF.

You won't hear an alpha making excuses like we are young. Hell, Pitt had the youngest team in the country last year and you never heard that as an excuse from PN.

Spoiler alert- JF isn't an alpha male. Good talker with question judgment (like whoring out co-eds) but when the pressure comes he puckers up.

None of this means UPS won't win tomorrow but Franklin seat would already be more hot if UPS wasn't turning over head coaches before his hire.

No question, Franklin did great at Vandy and his Recruiting was something they seldom saw, plus Franklin was designated to become the next Maryland coach but refused to wait so took Vandy job. When Jimmy got the Head Job at PSU I put up he will be terrific for PSU and my fellow Posters corrected me and to be fair so far they are more right than my initial reaction.

Agree, PSU has Powerful Program with many Resources and WVU right behind them, Pitt is working on improving too and can do it since it has ACC money now. It has only been 3 years in the ACC!

Franklin challenge is OSu, Michigan, MSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, NW, Nebraska and Pitt the next few years and growing Rutgers & Maryland Programs with Big Ten Money.

Narduzzi has Clemson, Miami, UNC, VT, GT, OKSU and PSU next few years?

All fair and I do enjoy reading your posts(most of the time). Haha

I enjoy discussions on FB Topics to learn from others, but falling behind to brighter and younger Turks & Experts that know more since the read more now. I have no problem admitting Pitt Woes and how far to Go and Grow the Program, but being in the ACC is what Pitt needed to have a stable Budget & Income.

Penn State is already a Top 25 Program loaded with many more Resources that Pitt is just building right now. They can easily be a top 25 program with Great Coaching due to what Joe built at PSU. However, going up against OSU, Michigan, MSU and then Maryland and Rutgers with Big Ten Money is tougher now for the Lions.

WVU is doing great too, but the location hurts them.

Put up your own Prediction too, and correct any errors in my own on another thread you think otherwise.

Maybe this will help- some betas try to act like alphas until they are faced with an actual alpha. So JF walked into a room and talked all this shit with no-one around to check him, that's great. Fast forward a bit and he's calling a Pittsburgh radio station after hearing a PN interview as James from state college to make sure no-one forgot about him and he's done a 180 on all of his brave talk.

The best part of his calling in was when he hung up and announcers go, "that was weird". The guy but looks and sounds like Todd Graham-light. Which isn't a compliment.

If you hear an unsolicited call from Pat from Pittsburgh after a JF interview on a state college radio station- feel free to come back and correct my assessment.
