Yesterday the Power Five agreed to pay for the cost of attendance. It passed 79-1 with only Boston College voting against it. It appears it will add about $50 million per year to the cost of scholarships to both men a women's teams.

Each athlete may get about $400 per month although it appears this will vary a little by school.

Perhaps more importantly they also voted to give four year scholarships. Today scholarships are granted year to year.

It is going to be tougher to over recruit. You better be sure when passing out scholarships.

Not sure how you police this but I am sure there will be disputes on this one. This rule goes into effect 8-1-2015 for scholarships for the 2015-16 season.

Schools might have to clean house now. Look for a record year of transfers.
