Feel like the committee could have avoided this.

How does this work? Get on a charter at 2AM? Land in San Diego at 3AM PST. Get to hotel at 4AM. Practice at 2PM. Bed at 9PM. Game at 1:15 on Friday.

Indiana has to do close to the same, played Tuesday night then travel to Portland for Thursday game. I’m planning on betting St Mary’s because of it.

im having a hard time seeing how this is actually difficult for a 21 year old D1 athlete.. chartered flight, go to bed at 4:30am and 8+ hours of sleep for a 2pm shoot around. get a dinner with the team then go to bed at 9pm and get at least 9-10 hours of sleep and have a few hours before the friday game at 1:15pm.

I mean, that doesnt sound all that challenging to me.

Its harder than busing to Indianapolis or Pittsburgh for a Friday night game. Also, the time zones and jet lags for an afternoon game is a factor. Is it a huge deal? No. But isn't there a way to avoid flying these kids cross-country for an afternoon game 36 hours later?

I’m sure they will be fine.

Yea but I just hate NCAA hypocrisy. They take all these mental health and physical health initiatives, yet they are jet-setting teams across the continent and time zones for the biggest games of their careers.

Hate to see the Fighting Irish chances of a national championship diminished on St Patrick's Day.

The committee does some strange things.

How does Michigan as an 11th seed gets to play Colorado State in Indianapolis. They should have been sent further away from their fanbase.
