What is Capel doing? Attending the tournament and watching games?

Pitt has no shot at Gardner. He is headed to a top third, Power 6 program.

No but we all know that those two schools have a propensity to get in the mix with some big names.
Miami has 5 players that are leaving so far.
Another one is on very shaky ground with staying with Miami...
It’s amazing that anyone thinks they know what a basketball coach is or isn’t doing. The people who need to know very likely do and will act accordingly.
And flat out weird to steal your word that they think they deserve to know.
Maybe gary2 is actually Heather Lyke, and this is the only way she can get information about what is going on with the hoops program.

I like reading the gossip as much as the next guy
I also know it means absolutely nothing
the recruiting gurus are always getting played by an assistant leaking info for their own agenda .
Whether it was knight to Matt , slice and herrion to dokish
it’s always the same result - make them look like recruiting gods and blame Dixon for any close .
Capel may very welll fail . It happens .
But it’s clear he learned his lessons from Oklahoma and hired people he trusts to not leak.

This is actually something that I've talked about in private conversation quite a bit because I actually feel as though Capel's extreme closed ranks mentality alienates the fanbase. Your passionate fans and donor class need some level of leaks in order to feel as though you're doing a thing because, at the end of the day, those are really the people who are signing your checks. And if you don't feed them a little drip of what you are doing then they will start to think that you aren't doing anything.

I agree with that completely unless you're 40-48 and your whole first class just transferred out. Then you might need some community goodwill.
