Another pretty good article about Fede.

So are Cummings, Hinson, and Federiko better than Horton, Odukale, and Gueye? They also get Sibande back, so hopefully slightly more talent than before?

Well....he's a warm body. Unless he adds some bulk and a few post moves other than a foot from the rim...it could be a tough ride in the ACC.

And we all remembered the day that
semyon-varlamov-of-the-washington-capitals-makes-a-save-on-the-shot-picture-id98294700

crossed DNA with…

And Pitt basketball was never the same.

Just kidding. It’s still basically the same.

oh, but welcome aboard!

No I mean is the loss of Horton, Odukale and Gueye offset by the additions of Cummings, Hinson, and Federiko.
I got you, I just meant too that if we go by transfers out to transfers in, using Amadasun makes more sense. Either way I think we are on the right track, however the. only thing that matters is can they play. We will see!

I think the only guy who you look for as a comparison is Cummings for Femi. The other guys you mentioned aren’t going to play the same positions as each other, so it’s not really a comparison. Fede isn’t recruited to replace Gueye, and Hinson wasn’t recruited to replace Horton.

We won't know that until we play some ACC games. But on paper at least, the additions are at least a wash with what we lost. Gueye was much better than Federiko, I suspect. Horton is better gone. Cummings and Hinson are unknown quantities.

If we can bulk him up and he gets up to speed quickly/learns some moves, I think this is a good get for Capel. We need size desperately. Any word on Meechie?

Don’t know, but I think odukale was the sore spot of the three

They're mostly pretty
different, with skills that
are also not similar. I've
seen Cummings a few
times on tv, and I see
him as an improvement over
Horton, and maybe a wash
when it comes to Odukale.
Cummings also seems to
want to be here and I feel
he'll try and make his mark
here. Odukale, talented as he
is, just wasn't getting it done
at Pitt.
Federico might be more of an
inside presence than Gueye
(maybe), but he doesn't have
his overall floor game and
doesn't have the 3 ball that
Gueye had. Even if he's a
backup, he's better on this
team than Collier and of
course Adamson.
Hinson has to bring us
more than Olidapo,
because Olidapo was
hardly ever on the floor.

Capel has five schollies
left. He's recruiting for his
basketball life. Let's just
see.

Fede is more a Collier replacement.

Many years ago,I was a successful coach at a VERY high level high school-I get a kick out of all of you discussing ball screens,hedging,!/2 court trapping,etc-when you don’t know what the hell you are really talking about. This guy(who does really understand the game) has his whole life on the line—and you are trying to negate his recruits?—what the hell is wrong with you think you know it alls?

Sorry to offend you James Naismith. This is a basketball message board where people discuss the game of basketball. Feel free to enlighten us with your vast array of knowledge since you are the only person who understands the game.

In case you have yet
to figure it out, this is a
basketball message board.
All opinions are welcome,
both good and bad, and
wrong and right.BTW a
number of regulars on
here have your Bball
experience and then some,
both as a player and as a
coach.

I understand it a hell of a lot more than you folks—not trying to demean you—but give the coach and his new players a chance before saying they can’t play—and, yes I do know more about the game than you or yours ever will.

I’ve been on this board (and other iterations) for 25 years and I have always found the basketball knowledge of the core group of posters very high.

Oh and I’m sorry that everyone isn’t all rah rah about anything this coaching staff does.

Criticizing what we can see is fair game to me , but criticizing specific coaches when no one really knows what their responsibilities are is another . Also blaming the coaches for players continually making poor decisions is another pet peeve of mine , who outside the program knows how much time was spent on certain situations in practice only to watch the player screw up . Sometimes the players just aren’t good enough to play at this level .

Too bad there’s 18 holes !

And that makes you what? We don't care!

If you knew something that actually was important or contributed to society or if you did something constructive with your life that mattered, maybe we'd respect your opinions. And everything you say is an opinion. Otherwise, we all have the right to have our opinions just like you do. Just because you don't agree with any of us doesn't mean we're wrong or you're right. Remember, it's just a game. Nothing more.

Why do I argue with young people who think nothing ever existed before tRump?
Your top post sounds a lot like the guy you referenced in the bottom post would say.
