Do you really think Power 5 head coaches are going to line up for our job? We are essentially BC.
Group of 5. From the American, the MAC, Mountain West, Conf USA or the Sun Belt. We are a Power 5 stepping stone
If they do, I’d want them to first give a call to Mark Richt and then go after Luke Fickell. If not those two, Toledo’s Jason Candle would be a good under-the-radar hire.

It’s really quite simple , you want to play big time Fb you need to pony up the cash for a HC and staff . The problem is Pitt is very content being mediocre .
What puzzles me is that a very successful Fb program would generate much more revenue than it would cost .

Richt has health issues, Fickell ain’t leaving Cincy for Pitt, and Candle is 13-12 his last 2 years.
Pitt won the Coastal last year and contended for it this year, and the hoops program is on the rise (not to mention the strong non-revenue sports teams). You're either a troll or abject idiot. Or both.
You might be right on Fickell, but it wouldn’t hurt to at least give him a call. Also, thanks for the heads up on Candle. Saw his record and remembered Toledo being ranked a few years back. Didn’t know about that regression.
Regardless, the theme of the coaches I mentioned is that they all have head coaching experience. I think we need that in the next head coach so we can take that next step. Any other young up-and-coming G5 coaches you can think of?
Candle is kind of a personal pet peeve of mine. I really thought they should’ve been better this year.
They were the only bowl eligible team not to get an invite, the decision came down to them or EMU ironically.
The only option besides the cash is to take a flyer on a promising but unknown commodity. But if you guess right it will cost you cash. And if you're wrong you piss off what remains of your already low base. So you just do the same and hope one of these guys can put it together. Hasn't happened.
Believe it or not, there are people on the lair that consider competing for the Coastal an accomplishment.
Unfortunately Eastern Michigan, Duke, Kent St, Georgia Tech, Ball St, Pitt are pretty similar.
Pelini is 16-18 his last 3 years at YSU, and Tressel isn’t coming here. The guy is 67 years old.
If Narduzzi doesnt get rid of some of his lame coaches, namely Borbaly then he needs to be let go. This team is so poorly coached they are so hard to watch!!!
And if we wanted a coach carrying baggage of allegedly abusing his players I’d take Jim Leavitt over Pellini by a mile.
I thought Tressel was a bit younger. I figure if Mack at North Carolina can do it then why not? Dreaming I know.
Tressel is a way, way better coach than Mack, just think he’s probably done as a head coach.
Big-time programs that receive support from their alums can buy their way out of issues, and lure proven head coaches. That does not apply to us.
as are UNC, Virginia, Syracuse, Louisville, NC State, half the Big Ten, most of the PAC 10 and Big 12.
Seriously, there's a handful of great programs and the rest is largely crap.
Zero chance that Narduzzi isn't our coach through 2021. Whipple and Borbely will both be given a second year because they came into such a bad situation. It is what it is. I'm not saying I like it or that I don't.
