Last year doing it on the Lair and looking forward to PITT, PSU & WVU Players making all 3 Programs proud in the NFL as well. As usual SEC dominates the Draft in most years and certainly the 1st round this year.

Forget about conferences, I'd say OSU dominated the 1st round!!

with all that talent you would have thought they would win the National Championship.

Meyer stunk up the joint in the MSU game, and was rightly roasted for it. Elliot needed to be prominently involved and he wasn't (only 12 carries). Not sure if they would've beaten Clemson or Alabama, but they beat themselves vs MSU.

Urban coming off of back to back titles would've been insufferable.

Well, I never said Meyer's was perfect!

Most Universities and Football Programs would love to have Urban Meyers as Head Coach as well as the Players that went into this First Round, but appreciate your information on Meyer's Imperfections.

Overall, not withstanding your own comments and information Urban still has more winning than losing as a Coach and everywhere he has gone.

Ohio St.with 10 players in the 1st, 3 rounds.
One of the most loaded teams ever.

The scary part-they keep on bringing 'en in.

MVK was right about that MSU game. That's the one time I can recall that Meyer laid a coaching egg. Starting Jones and alternating him with Barrett for the first several games was also a mistake. Barrett should have been the Day 1 starter.

I don't see Jones making it as a NFL QB.

It's Bama, OSU, then everyone else.

As the Sports Media see it, and I agree, as others can differ, SEC and B1G have the Biggest Schools, Alumni, Rosters, Money Networks, and Attendance in CFB and should lead the NFL Draft every year.

SEC is still the Premier League of CFB and Big Ten is not far behind but still behind nonetheless. SEC is just a Beast and as the SEC-ESPN Network continue to bring in Dollars for even lesser programs or traditional doormats like Vandy, Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, and Missy State as seen by their recent rises, SEC will only grow bigger. Bama, Florida, LSU, Auburn, A&M, UTenn, and Georgia always producing great Players from Great Coaching that changes if they can't win 10+ Games every year over a span of time. SEC is just too big, better, and competitive within the Conference and very dominant outside it in Bowls, Recruiting, and Coaching. SEC really has no competitive parallel Programs equal to them and can cover the states producing the most recruits today in Florida, Texas, and Georgia as well as attract National Selective 5 Star Recruits from the East, Midwest, and West.

The Big Ten has bounced back under Delany's B1G Network giving all Big Ten Programs money that funds all 85 Scholarships now at Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota, and Illinois and now Rutgers and Maryland will add to NFL Draft Picks. The Top Programs in winning, making money, and attendance in Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Nebraska will continue to grow in putting NFL Prospects more as well. All will continue greater numbers like Ohio State did again this year. The Great Big Ten Coaching Programs like Iowa, MSU, Northwestern always produce gems for the NFL maybe in lower numbers but superb players nevertheless. The Big Ten just keep up with SEC when their Demographic States of Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New Jersey are not growing as fast and cannot work out as often as in Southern and Western States. Why if they grow in expansion they will move south in the future to take on SEC.

The Pac-12 always does better in the Bowls and NFL Draft and is often underestimated since many in the nation do not stay up towatch all the games. California produces most of their recruits for all the schools, but a few attract National Selective Recruits too. No Pac-12 Program can compare to perennial USC history or current rosters loaded with 4 and 5 Star recruits and Players. A few like Oregon, Stanford, and UCLA may challenged sometimes but most of the Pac-12 Programs go in cycles in the Pac-12 on the NFL Draft except USC. The Pac-12 produces Great Talent for the NFL but not as many Players as SEC!

The ACC Premier Program in FSU challenge by Clemson right now with Miami, VT, and ULou in rebuilding cycles modes as better coaches set in their systems. Once these ACC Programs find Great Coaches the recruiting takes care of itself and shows up in the Draft in cycles. UNC and GT have had steady coaching and is now starting to add Players for the Draft. The rest of the ACC is in rebuilding mode such as BC, Pitt, UVA, Cuse, and NCS with new coaching. Duke has and can produce a few more Stars now with better recruiting and coaching. Wake Forest is lucky to be and remain a FBS Program and having just 6,000 Students is like ND without the following. Notre Dame is in a class by itself not just in the ACC Related 5 FB games aspect, but with all 5 Power Conferences, truly a national recruiter and provider of NFL Talent. The ACC will always be behind SEC in the south since many Smaller Private Programs that won't accept talent SEC Programs under a Consent Decree and Big Boosters willing help out Recruits. The ACC does and has challenge the Big Ten and Pac-12 in past years.

The Big-12 OU & Texas still lead in producing Players but recent challenges by TCU & Baylor have shown an impact in what is normally the lowest NFL Contributor of Players the last 10 years, and that was in years they had 12 Schools as well. Funny, but OU, Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma State, and KSU have Head Coaches longer than many others in the Power Conferences. This consistently has added to more Players in the NFL. Texas like the Long Horn Network is in a League of its own with its Texas Recruiting often closed by November and that produces a few Best and Bust Players for the NFL often with OU not far behind. Texas Tech and WVU both have isolation problems but do pretty good in producing NFL Draft Players, more so WVU than Texas Tech lately. Iowa State, and Kansas have trouble keeping coaches, recruiting, and winning let alone Top NFL Draft picks in great numbers? The Big-12 even with 12 teams actually was behind the ACC with just 9 Teams in producing NFL Talent dating back to the 1990s to today. Even the Big East with just 8 teams actually out did Big-12 and ACC in late 1990s and early 2000s with Most Players coming from Miami, BC, and VT and one reason why Swofford sought Expansion..

This is an example having built in equity when you win a national championship....The reason OSU didn't get to the playoffs was the fact that Urban dicked around with the QB position.....Yes Cardale had an incredible run but anyone with common sense realized that JT Barrett was the best QB on that team and he proved it.......

Even the great coaches have brain cramps
