Apparently it is a common thing though,

Says scouts typically go to also watch the steeler practice and stop at Pitt's facilities to see the guys. Good recruiting tool for sure. Sure, you can go to state penn, synonymous for child rape and get a 1000 extra dollars a year stipend by the dumb NCAA, or you can go to Pitt, and become an NFL star earning millions more #nobrainer

Pretty sure the Steelers don't allow scouts from other teams to watch their practices. If they do, Tomlin should be fired.

This is part of the Pitt Program as far as I am concern. It is Tradition, Trademark, and Trend that Pitt has always put up great Talent for NFL Teams.

It shows in All Pro Awards, Hall of Fames, Team & Conference Records, and it only surprises the ignorant, uninformed and quite frankly jealous haters of Pitt Football. They hate it, that there Programs are not up like Pitt except a few such as USC, ND, MIAMI, OSU, MICHIGAN and TEXAS with PITT.

Every time a Young Sports Writer starts to research it for an article one reads how surprised they are about PITT Tradition, Progress, and Production for the NFL because so many greats come and learn to play at Pitt!

I was with my Uncle and his Son watching the games last week. They were amazed how much more Pitt History in creating, innovating and having better Players than Penn State, WVU, and many more Teams, and got quite upset about it, but they were buying Paterno's & Penn State "Pubic Relations" Bullship like most and quite ignorant and upset they did not know such things?

Smart recruits with even smarter parents like Fitzgerald, Revis, McCoy, Donald, and Whitehead knew this after studying what was best for them and their futures, and only the more dumb ones thought sitting before 90,000 Fans is more important than playing sooner and learning to play on a level that brings in Million$ of Dollar$ for them and their Familie$ rather than Higher Paid Coaches, Well Funded Programs and Fans in Stadiums?

Yeah if Belichick's scouts shows up, I don't care what they're there for, I wouldn't trust them that close to the Steelers.
This is clearly expected though, every team in the NFL would love to have Tyler Boyd, and by year's end, probably a handful of our defensive players.

Belichick's in spite of everything is still a great coach and knows about ALL Other NFL Team Rosters, players Strength and Weaknesses than some of the Head Coaches of their own Teams? His knowledge and studying of other Teams makes him a great NFL Coach and it shows!

Great coach, I just have no respect for him. I think he is a blatant cheater to the worst degree possible. And my thing is... New England probably wins all those Super Bowls they did, at the very, very least makes the AFC Championship Games, without cheating. So why cheat when you're already very more than likely going to win?

Exactly...He's a great coach that cheats a lot. I have no respect for him at all. I'll add that If he thought cheating didn't give him an advantage, he wouldn't do it,

Couldn't have said it better myself. Only thing I think he gets too much credit for is Brady. If he is such a genius and knew Brady was so good all along, why did it take a Drew Bledsoe injury for him to get a chance? Bledsoe never goes down and Brady may have never made a living in the NFL. Brady did have a hell of a last year at Michigan though, MICHIGAN! Very surprised he got picked so late in the draft.

Scouts don't go to Steeler's practices. Just stop and think about it for a second. Each team has their own scouts. Do you think the Steelers are going to let a Raven or Patriots employees watch practice? Scouts sole job is to scout college talent. Not NFL talent. They spend all fall traveling to different colleges watching practices. It common to see scouts at Pitt, Penn State, WVU, Temple. It has nothing to do with Pitt sharing facility with the Steelers.

LOL nit wit mentioning Temple! Go back to milking

I don't know if someone else said something that made you think that. I know NFL scouts are not going there to scout the Steelers. My point is, if New England is going there to scout Pitt players, being as slimy and dirty as they are I wouldn't want them there. Because no doubt, some scumbag assistant from the Pats would "accidentally" stumble over to the Steelers side and just "happen to come across some information."

The original poster said the scouts were at Pitt practice because they watch Steelers practices.

Well yeah in that case they were wrong. I was just making a slight joke, (although not really), about not wanting the Patriots scouting Pitt players because the Steelers also practice there.

Yes... scouts certainly do go to each other's facilities to talk to players. And because the Steelers share Pitt's facilities, that definitely makes it a place scouts want to go.

Insecurity and paranoia. Just ask Richard Nixon... Hail to Pitt!

There have been NFL scouts most every practice at Pitt this year. Definitely good for the steelers to share our faculty

I remember Troy Polamalu said he would look over at Pitt’s practice and wondering if the next Fitzgerald or Revis was over there practicing!

Pretty cool

I very much agree with you, Pittx9 and Others Posts, sure Belichick is a good coach but I cannot and will not defend his personality, behavior, questionable actions. He is still a great coach in my opinion. But I never said he is super person, I never met him or know him, but his coaching is very good.

That'd be a sweet story to tell the grandkids if you were playing for Pitt and Troy Polamalu came wandering over.
Agree, but I have a better Idea on Fitz!!!! I suspect he may very well return to Pittsburgh as a Coach! or enter Public Office too! I want to see Palko become a Coach too!

Belechick using "scouts" out in the open? Please. ;)

It's not like Brady sat for 5 or 6 years till Bledsoe got hurt. I think Brady was a rookie or 2nd year player at the time.

Yes, he was a second year player. But Brady having the year he did was why Bledsoe was let go and went on to Buffalo. If Bledsoe doesn't get hurt, he probably starts for about 5 more years and maybe New England doesn't win those first 3 Super Bowls. Bledsoe was a star QB, other than that injury his job was never going to be in jeopardy.

You are clueless. They don't. In what delusional world do you live in. They are college scouts. They don't talk to current NFL players. They have one job and that evaluating college talent. Just stop and think about what your saying. What organization would let recruiters from other company freely talk to their employees at work? Would McDonald's allow Burger King recruiters hang around and talk to McDonald's employees?

He's also a major Dick. A few years ago a Steeler trainer went out to help a New England player who was hurt near the Pittsburgh sideline, and Belicheck walked across the field and cussed the trainer out telling him to get away.

I too have no respect for the Patriots. Not only cheaters, but the biggest cry-babies ever. Not even shaking hands after a Super Bowl loss. They have no class whatsoever and quite frankly are just bad for the league, considering the way they carry themselves.
