Nice to see Pitt handle their business and not

This team is easily the best team of the Capel era. I don't say that lightly because I love the team 2 years ago. But these guys are great and play so well together. They just play super tough and really efficient.

3-ball shooting not great. Announcers in Wisconsin game mentioned the ballroom venue may be having a negative effect on the long ball. The lighting does seem a little weak. That and the low ceilings perspective may be causing the shooters a problem.

Was this the first game of the season?

I think last year's team was better than the previous year's, and this one is performing better than either of those so far. I'd say this year's team clearly has the highest ceiling.
This year's team has a talented returning backcourt combined with other veterans that have played a lot of minutes. I think they are starting a little ahead from where the last two teams were, but I can't say that their ceiling is any higher. It may or may not be. I don't know. It very well may be, but I just don't see what would lead anyone to say that this team is "easily the best team" of the Capel era.

I don't even think it's close. This year's team has a toughness to them that rivals two years ago but the athleticism is far superior to anything I've seen in the Capel era. The respond to every run and haven't lost a game yet that they weren't supposed to at this point in the season. They make shots when it matters most and create a lot of chances. They are 6-0 and really have played and looked like a team that should be 6-0 up to this point.

Compare that with two year's ago they started 1-3 with a blowout losses to WVU and Michigan. Last year they lost to Florida and Missouri who were dreadful.

Anything can happen and seasons can fall apart (knocking on wood) easily with injuries or bad luck. But this team easily looks like the best team Capel has fielded in his time here at this point in the season. Not just the record but they way they are playing.

Corhen = much better team. Fede was the Achilles heal last year. No Hinson, but actually having a guy in the front court who can catch fast passes, make free throws, and dunk go a long way.

Gotcha. Yeah, I would say the same for 6 games in the season. Im just not sure this team will a lot better 3 months from now the way the past teams were. This team has more of an established identity & the backcourt is already playing at high level.

Totally. Those teams really closed the season strong. Hopefully this year's team can as well

But the metrics now are higher than at any time for those teams the last two years. Even if they hold steady, that is some efficiency two way play.
