Nice win today. We defend we can win. I realize that is a way below average Louisville team, but, there are quite a few teams in this league that are below average. We have a guy to run our offense through, and Burton is looking like a guard we can count on. Capel is going to go Onye instead of Will which should also help. Let's see if we can finish the season with some life, instead of a disappearing act like the last few. We have been very competitive except at the Cuse, which is better than many expected.

I think they won 16 of the last 17 against Pitt. So except for a great win in 2019, it's been tough to beat them.
I have to say the Ville was really bad today and we should take some credit for that. That said, I didn't envision beating any conference foe by double figures this year regardless. It was fun to be a Panther hoops fan today.
They are a really bad three point shooting team, almost as bad as us (in the high 200s overall). They took 57 shots today and 28 of them were threes. And it might be different if they came out on fire from three, hey, we're making them, let's keep shooting them. They were 3-13 in the first half and 4-15 in the second half.

Agree. I know someone in the gamethread mentioned he thought Mack would not be back next year. It is certainly possible. The entire 2nd half they ran no offense, they just chucked up quick 3's and like you said, for a team that shoots them as bad as us, it isn't the way to go.
We now have two conference wins. And we aren’t last in the conference. It could be a hell of a lot worse right now, but that was an important win last night. Thankfully Louisville couldn’t hit much from deep, and our points in the paint was high.
