What was the craziest thing a coach said to you?I don’t want to badmouth any schools, but at one school I was looking at pretty heavily, the coach said, “We have no quarterback that we like, so if you commit, you’ll be a four-year starter guaranteed.” I thought he was kidding and I was expecting a little laugh, but he was completely serious. How do you go into a season thinking that a 17-year-old kid who’s still in high school is better than what you have on your roster? I lost a lot of respect for them after that.
I can imagine that a lot of 17 year old kids would jump at that. This kid seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders based on more than just that answer. Very good interview, Chris!
