If I were Pitt I would look towards Under Armor

They pay more and they seem to be more creative with team gear & fans gear.

Plus their clothing is comfortable

Nike has been very disappointing for Pitt with gear they offer over the last 10 years.

Almost like Pitt is 3rd tier in schools they sponsor.

I think they just renewed that contract in 2013.

And I like Under Armour but hate that they're easily 15-20% more expensive on all items than Nike/Adidas.

You do realize Michigan left Addidas and signed a deal with Nike which is Much more than Notre Dames deal with under armor. (ND 10 years $90 million Michigan 10 years $169 million. Don't let facts get in the way of a good rant.

They do not pay more. Going to UA will not change Pitt from being a third tier school when it comes to clothing deals. Winning and buying merchandise will change that. Not changing providers. Pitt is consistently ranked in the mid 50s in sales by the clc who manages licensing for most colleges.

I wont buy athletic gear or shoes unless its Nike- the other brands just arent as good. That includes both Pitt gear and non-pitt gear.

Between those two, you go where the money is. Nike is the standard and Under Armour is the big up and comer making noise while growing steadily. Adidas really shouldnt be a player. Personally, I like Under Armour's gear a lot more in terms of fit and quality. I also like they are based in Baltimore (East Coast).
