I listened to a golf podcast and they had the University of Texas golf coach on it talking about college golf and NIL. He mentioned that not only do they have the collective money paying players but they have brand sponsors (Taylormade, Titleist, Nike, etc) paying these kids to stay at their school. I remember basketball used to be big on this where the apparel companies were basically placing kids at their branding schools before NIL was a thing.
