True but we won this game solely on our overpowering defense. If Chryst was coaching today I think VTech wins. Could be wrong but no way Chryst would have had our defense playing like that.

Chryst could have put up 40 today if we also had Conner. If Chryst were coach this year and Conner was hurt, we would have lost to YSU, Akron, and Va Tech. He could run a great offense, but he knew nothing about defense and neither did the guys he brought in. I've never seen a softer defensive strategy than what we saw the last 2 years.

We are 3-1 because our defense mostly has been outstanding. There's no way if Chryst is here our defense doesn't get torched every game. Like I said, with Conner and Chryst it wouldn't be that bad. But if we still had Chryst and Conner goes down, the defense would still be putrid. I just don't see a scenario where we'd be able to do anything. I actually liked Paul Chryst. But a certain point, the best offense in the world and Pitt would have still been 6-6 last year. Their defense REALLY WAS THAT PATHETIC.

I agree with that. I really liked the offense a lot under Chryst. But I think without Conner the offense would still be about where it is now. The defense which just won us the game today, it would've been exactly the opposite. Instead of winning 17-13 today. We would've lost at least 35-17. Not knocking on Chryst personally, just more the decision to hire Matt House and basically let him run the defense.

But Chryst couldn't score on Iowa but Pitt did, with Special Teams I might add? Chryst scored 6 Points is not a MAY HAVE but NOT a reality.

What Chryst did was his usual unprepared game that he did 2 to 3 times at Pitt in each year he coached?

Yep, Paul Chryst was very OK at Pitt from 2012 to 2014 after 3 Years in 39 Games, Coach Chryst won 19 Game and Lost 20 with an outstanding 0.48718% Winning Percentage?

I prefer Coach Pat & Staff!

Yeah, strange is it not, Chryst Offense at Wisky scored 6 Points?

Yet Wisky Defense only gave up 10 points? Go and figure the enigma of Coach Chryst's coaching?

Wishing Coach Chryst well at Wisky but glad he is gone and Pederson was part of his departure and Coach Pat Narduzzi wanted to come to Pitt and it shows on his quick Staff selections, and Players development, and in his personality.

Unlike the slow, slumbering and stuttering Coach Chryst that loved his Wisky...."Duh, You Know, Cheese!!!"

Someone wanted to come to Pitt the other had to come to Pitt to get back to Wisconsin! It show in both coaching and I'll take the guy that wanted to be at Pitt and showed his character by not taking any MSU Recruits while Chryst took some of Pitt!
