Yes I troll a lot on both sides. But the adage of don’t try to time the markets is on display. Had you pulled out due to fear or thinking there was still room to go down, you would have missed out on today’s record rally. Maybe the bottom is not yet in, maybe it is. No one knows. Also, options and day traders are more likely to lose money in the long run.

Yeah, my philosophy has always been that there are smart people that trade stocks for a living and still struggle to get these types of things right. How am I going to time the market right? I have a full time job and family. Sure I might get lucky every once in a while, but I would lose more often than win.

Do you keep a large amount of cash on hand to take advantage of every time Trump does something stupid?
It was easy to see he wasn't bluffing and the market would react. Couple that with I never believed for a second that those high tariffs would last so i felt the window was small. Low and behold it was 3.5 days.

I've been buying Tesla for a couple of weeks. On Monday morning, I bought more Tesla and Nvidia. I also sold a bunch of shorts. I made $200k today, including $28k on Tesla. I realize that's a snapshot in time that could change in an instant. But I made those moves because I'm confident in the new direction.
