North Florida game thread

What's up with Burton?? Edit: Never mind. Hit the bench early but back in there.

I don't know hoops coaching enough to make a smart decision, but I've thought Andy Driscoll of North FL is good coach. Yes??

BTW, hoping for Capel to get canned: My observation of this team is that there's more talent than this program has had since maybe that first group of kids who are at other programs and proving their talent. Also, the recruiting for next year looks to be better than we have had in a long time.

This team has some talent. It's too bad we dropped some of the winnable OOC games. It's also too bad we don't have Dior and last year's Hugley. We could have really been looking at something.

I believe JC would’ve already been relived of his duties at most schools that truly value winning . I think/know the only reason Pitt brought him back was they couldn’t find anyone willing to pony up the money to buy him out , but were I differ from most on here is that I want him to succeed. If he succeeds it means only one thing and that is Pitt is playing winning bb . Isn’t that what we all want ?

Atleast about 5 people actually care enough to bitch. Not much to say about another poor start against an EMPTY SOUPCAN like N Florida.

Faster we get rid of Capel the better

Yayyy - you’re back “weird Pitt screen name one post guy”. Been a little quiet.

Agree. These losses to VCU and Vanderbilt were as bad to me as the football team losing to GT and Louisville. They just shouldn’t have happened, and really no excuse for why they did. But, we have to move on from that too.

If Capel gets canned you will lose all returning talent and the entire recruiting class at s point in time when it will be too late to salvage anything from the portal. Unless there is again a complete collapse late in the season you really shouldn't want him canned.

I think that the only purpose for some posters to even be here on this board is to bitch, badmouth and name-call other posters while not attending the games. I'll bet that many in this thread who were bitching and attacking other posters weren't even there today. In fact, I'm sure of it. There weren't many there to begin with. If this describes you, you are leading miserable lives and should give it up.

The better team team doesn’t always win ….ya know !

We're going to lose some games in the conference schedule we shouldn't lose and we might even win a couple we have no business winning. If we can somehow get to 10 conference wins, I'd be thrilled with that outcome with this team and staff.

First time up there this year. Very enjoyable. Panthers kept turnovers down and dominated on glass. Nice coffee mugs.

I don’t know where Pitt gets off charging $10 more on game day tickets. Kills any walk up incentive. Fortunately we scored online tix for less than $11 apiece.

Glad to see another Pitt fan was there and got his mug. They are pretty nice. But you're right about the walk-up pricing. It's way out of line.

They announced 5,782, but didn't nearly every fan who was there who wanted one get one?

Yes, and there were some left over.

I doubt there were more than 1,000 people there. Definitely not 5,782. Maybe they were counting ALL of the season's tickets sold while most of them weren't used today.

Do you really think they sold 4500 season tickets ? (1500 students )
