If you go back over the past 20 years of Pitt basketball... I think you will find that the first game after December finals has almost *ALWAYS* been a sluggish affair.

It is why Jamie almost always scheduled our absolute easiest opponent for the first game after finals.

All that matters is getting a win in that game, and you move on. Analyzing it too much is a waste of time.

Agreed.

Even though NIU isn’t great that was some fight we showed to close line that in the clutch.

And even though X was on the bench he was still very engaged and supportive of his teammates.

I like this team quite a bit. They have their shortcomings. But they are getting better and will be a middle of the pack ACC team.

I just think everyone needs to get used to the idea that Pitt basketball isn't going to be pretty, win or lose, this season. They are going to have to grind it out, but I also expect it to get them an unexpected win here and there, but a bad losses too.
