I managed to crash the ACC Kickoff in Pinehurst with a friend of mine... I got to meet Connor and Render.... as well as the great EJ and Coach Narduzzi again... I wanted to pass along the message I heard multiple times from all of them: The 2014 Panthers were not that far off, and the 2015 Panthers expect to win.
Over and over they kept saying that this team wasn't that far off from being really good last year. Something about 20 to 30 points difference from winning 10 games. There was some serious confidence in the off season program and the overall scheme of the new defense too.
I think everyone on the team believes they have the horses to compete for the Coastal Division.
There was a LOT of Heisman talk about James Connor. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a lot of ACC support for that award if he shows what he can do early. By the way, Connor was absolutely ripped... and maybe the nicest athlete I have ever met. He reminded me of meeting a West Point Grad he was so unbelievably polite. He couldn't have been cooler to meet. Eat your heart out Pitt Girl.
